Round 1: Arthur takes a few hits but still wins comfortably.
Round 2: if we're talking game mechanics, John wins (deadeye was more OP in RD1). If we're talking strictly lore and story feats...50/50.
Eh, it’s kind of implied throughout RDR2 that Arthur is the most skilled fighter and shooter in the gang. He’s the one all the other gang members go to when they need help. Even when he is dying from tuberculosis, he is still able to hold his own against Micah.
I reckon Arthur beats him in all rounds. The only way I can see prime John winning is if Arthur is suffering from TB but only in a gunfight
Pre TB Arthur beats an older RDR1 John in a brawl. RDR1 John headshots Arthur before he can blink in the second round.
Arthur is the best gunslinger and fighter here. He low to mid-low diffs both scenarios. There is not a scenario where John wins this.
Arthur takes CQC.
A gunfight goes either way.
