Ares gains power from war, combat, etc. He would ultimately be more powerful than Odin the longer the fight lasts. So either someone takes him out first, or he wins by overwhelming them with his might composed of the energy absorbed from their battling.

just one problem with that logic Ares even fully powered is still on Superman tier only, Thor is multi star shaking attacks are far from a Superman lv tier, and Odin is not just far stronger than Thor, he is a casual Galaxy buster, Ares isn't not just surviving any attack from Thor but also even fully powered is still not enough to take on these two.

^^^Odin definitely not a casual galaxy buster. Last I remember Marvel said Odin was planetary.

Ares back in the day was out of Supes league.

@judgment_dragon: ? Full powered Ares is Universial/Multiverse(if including the Godwave), as just standard he already killed the Justice League in the future, so he's above Superman regularly.

@nite_nite: Refering to a fight he had and the result of their blast destroyed multiple galaxies. But putting him at planetary is low balling.

godwave is not a base set power of neither of them. how did he killed them? did they actually went fully out? did Superman even go for the kill? bc superman was still vulnerable to magic.

@judgment_dragon: Right, but you said Full power, at full power he had it. It's not shown how he killed them, but it's noted he killed them and the other gods in every pantheon.

I don't see why they wouldn't go full out against a god.

@samjackson: you mean the battle where the resulting clash of two amped skyfathers destroyed a galaxy?

Yeah no way I'm low balling when it's coming from the company in charge.

Don't know how people can disagree with a company about how things work.

@nite_nite: How was Odin amped? I wasn't aware he was. And you have to go against what the company SAYS when the company SHOWS us things that completely contradict what they SAY. Hasnt Odin on multiple occasions grown larger than earth to the point it was in his hand? You sure he's planetary?

@judgment_dragon: @samjackson: You obviously don't know much about how Ares' power, especially after I basically typed it out for you. And no, no, Odin is no casual galaxy buster and that has been debunked by one of our very own popular Viners. You argue against that all day, and it'll come full-circle right back at you.

@nite_nite: Odin was not amped in that battle. If anything, he was in a weakened state due to having just recovered his powers and being transformed from a mortal back to Skyfather. Seth wasn't amped either that I recall. I don't think Marvel has made any sort of definitive statement about Odin's power level recently but regardless a. tweets by editors really mean next to nothing since writers generally do w/e they want with characters and b. the op states classic and current Odin which means all feats apply.

@spambot: yeah but up until this past secret wars all these guys have been the same people. Editors still control the scene and let things pass, which is why there's "always something". Casual Galaxy buster, and your implying even more with your statement don't add up to all the times he's failed to accomplish things far far less than Galaxy level in the first place. It also doesn't add up, when you added people don't know about skyfathers in marvel because of things people above him have failed to do. Unless Thanos has galactic level defense?

@nite_nite: First, it wasn't me who made that statement about people not knowing Marvel Skyfathers. I didn't say he was a casual galaxy buster either. Even Tom Brevoort though recently made a statement that Odin could bust a galaxy if he was mad enough so it would imply that Marvel currently does see him as being a galaxy buster. That is actually kind of consistent for his power level since Surtur busted a galaxy back in the 80's and Odin basically stalemated him after when Surtur was further amped by his sword. He was also shown as capable of moving entire realms which are very lage recently(although it was depicted as having happened like thousands of years prior) and back in his classic days he defeated an army of a billion billion beings which had enslaved entire galaxies and then took all of their souls and combined them into the Mangog. Back then he was also being depicted as an equal to Galactus so his power level has always been consistently pretty darn high since the 60's. Then you had the fight with Seth where galaxies were destroyed in the late 90's where he also declares himself to be the supreme power in galaxies without number.

@willpayton: Sadly, I don't know anything about Highfather.

I wish I had some good Highfather feats. But, he's a skyfather leader of the New Gods. From what I know of him I'd day he's more powerful than Darkseid and around the same level of other DC skyfathers like Zeus. Highfather is a member of the Quintessence, a group of very powerful beings who watch over the universe. The group includes Highfather, Zeus, Ganthet, Phantom Stranger, and the wizard Shazam.

well because look Superman's fights against someone like Zod, if he went all out do you think the planet would still stand? and look how he holds against people like Black Adam, Batman's not kill rule, Shazam's fights, Flash's morals ect, etc, etc.

I don't have the most extensive knowledge on Odin but I'd say WW beats Thor, Odin beats Ares then Odin beats WW.
