From what I've read, Aquaman usually doesn't show titanic strength. In the first issues of JLA, he doesn't use it at all, and he didn't in DC Versus Marvel. And I know some people have that scan that shows him lifting tons, but was that within the regular universe, or a different storyline?

Just saying that it looks to me that he doesn't often use super strength, and I read that Lizard can lift something like 12 tons. That might not be much, but how much does Aquaman usually lift? Not just one example from one story though.

Well in early issues of JLA, he had no super strength. Have you read "Justice League of America: One Hour to Doomsday". In it, when Aquaman went to tear the bad guy's boat, he had to summon octopi to tear it apart.
In the fight with Kordax, Aquaman was on the verge of being defeated. Kordax's also has telepathic abilities, and Aquaman did an all out telepathic attack on him, forcing him to kill himself with his own sword. Aquaman wins, hands down, because no matter what, he could always resort to telepathic domination.
But he rarely resorts to telepathic domination, and I doubt he would with Lizard. He would use his super speed to get up close, then tear him apart with super strength, or force him into submission. Post Edited:2008-01-12 16:28:34

I have nothing with Lizard and I have nothing to buy a comic with Lizard. And besides, if Lizard loses, I'd like to know why he loses. And not that Aquaman has some sort of titanic strength. How do Lizard's powers fall short, not how much stronger is Aquaman?

Arthur tears lizard apart, his current strength feats include lifting an entire cruise ship (around 160,000 metric tons), holding his own against wonder woman whilst both are halucinating the other as villains thus neither were holding back, going toe to toe with Hercules, and beating the current superman (the pre-new 52/rebirth superman) senseless with mera's assistance. officially Lizard can only lift twelve tons when transformed, Aquaman by contrast has literally shifted a tectonic plate (Aquaman: The Trench) which is approximately 44 quintillion metric tons, this is simply not a fight that Lizard has any hope of winning, a proper match up would be Aquaman and Marvel's Hercules, at least then there is a fight to go with
