We never saw a completely gauntletless Thanos fight but the fact that he was called the most powerul being in the Universe by one of Ronan’s elite soldier, and him stomping Hulk like it was nothing (even though i wasn’t really sure if Thanos used the Power Stone or no), Thanos takes this by a mile.

We saw him vs Hulk. Stated and showed he used no stone there billions times. And destroying the Hulk in 10 seconds does put him few leagues above Aquaman.
Thanos easily.
AM stomps with Kraken control
The Kraken was deep underwater, the fight does not take place underwater.

He didn't use the Power Stone, the stones light up when in use. Plus, the writers said Thanos would probably "kick the Hulk's ass" even if he didn't have the Power Stone.
Aquaman can't even hurt Thanos with or without the trident. In fact, Thanos would rip that trident out of Aquaman's hands and gut him with it.
Arthur should win based on feats only as Thanos has only been shown in combat with the gauntlet. I take his most powerful being in the universe statement as literally as I take Captain Marvel being the most powerful mcu character. But Thanos should be above Steppenwolf even without the gems. So I pick Thanos.
Thanos beats his ass like he beat Thor's. Even base-level Thanos is one bamf. He didnt even use the stones when he pulped the shit out of Hulk.
Aquaman with the trident.
Unlike Hulk, Aquaman is a trained fighter and he's the only one of the 2 here with a weapon.
Maybe Aquaman could beat someone like Hulk or Thor, if they fought underwater. It's still a stretch since he lost to Steppenwolf underwater, but maybe.
Thanos? It'll never happen.
In this setting Aquaman would win if he fought smart, his trident is definitely enough to kill Thanos and this is close to the water. Plus Thanos doesn’t have a weapon and Aquaman has skill unlike Hulk. Thanos should be stronger though by scaling.
How do people not know at this point that Thanos only used the gauntlet when the stones were glowing? The directors have stated that numerous times, and have specifically stated that he beat Hulk without any help from the power stone. Base Thanos is still Hulk level in strength and has durability enough to tank some crazy firepower. Aquaman isn't even close to his power level.

I don't see Aquaman pushing Thanos into the water (based on the OP, I believe they're fighting on top of an Atlantean submarine), and Thanos already consistently catches bladed weapons barehanded. And while I think the trident could do damage to Thanos' skin, it's not doing massive damage like Stormbreaker either, so a lucky stab won't one-shot Thanos and quickly end the fight. The gold trident is very powerful due to the control it has over the ocean, but in combat, it doesn't seem significantly better than the silver one. But Thanos isn't just going to stand there anyways. I don't think he can really win on his own, he'd need assistance. Hulk vs. Aquaman already doesn't look good for Aquaman, and Thanos stomped Hulk h2h. Aquaman is very strong, but Thanos is just too much.

I only think Aquaman has a chance because of the setting and having his trident. I agree with what you're saying for the most part. I'd probably give Thanos the majority.
Thanos SHOULD win. But Thanos no stones is featless.
By default, Aquaman wins.
Thanos didn't use the Power Stone when beating Hulk. He used the Power Stone when burning Thor's skull. The only featless Thanos is the one in the tie-ins, who one-shotted Hulk with the Power Stone, and would one-shot Arthur with a single finger if he were here (w/ power stone).
