Lets be clear and seperate movement/flight speed from reaction speed. SS does nor react or think at the speed of light. SS does not process information at the speed that the Flash does and that clearly shows in the way he gets hit be so many opponents. He is caught off guard quite often.
Therefore Amazo, duplicating the processing and reaction speed of the Flash can react and act faster than SS.
Can the Surfer travel faster than the Flash - yes, if he enters hyperspace and exceeds the speed of light.
Does this help in this battle - no really.
So recently he has displayed an occurence of using a telepathic power. Has that been repeated since ?
Was it a one off occassion ?
Can you post some info on this as I have not seen this power yet ?
Throughout SS's career, he has not been shown to really possess much in the way of telepahic powers. Mephisto and other villians have attacked him mentally in the past. These attacks have done considerable damage before, rendering him comatose. He has survived ususally through his great willpower.
Matter control does not come in to effect if Amazo has already attacked and left the vincity before SS has actaully realised he is under attack.
So based on SS's historic powers, I am still tempted to stick with Amazo.
