Isn't All-Star Superman stronger than mainstream Superman? Superman is slightly stronger than Wonder Woman so AS Supes is by default stronger.

Three people pulling a planet doesn't automatically mean they divide the weight. What If Martian Manhunter is doing most of the work?

Meh, overhead pressing 200 quintillion tons with one arm is more impressive than pulling less than 1/3 of the Earth. What would that be the equivalent of anyway? I know what they have to do to move it is overcome the inertia (unless the sun's gravity was still acting on it, which I don't think it was) but am too lazy to do the calculations.

Forgive me for not reading the issue in question, but is that All-Star Superman's limit? I read online that he was weakened by something.

@xan84: I'm asking a question in order to bring a potential Internet myth to light. If that is indeed his limit then Wonder Woman's stronger by far.

200 quintillion tons is approximately 400,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 lbs. (18 "zeros" in quintillion, 2000 lb per ton)

Mass of the Earth is about 13,230,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 lbs (6,000,000,000,000 ,000,000,000,000 kilograms = mass of the Earth. 1kg is about 2.205lb)

Someone may want to do the math and correct me if i'm wrong but if i'm right than Supes is easily the winner here. AS Superman should be able to pull the entire Earth by himself.

Yes. Not to mention that it was done with one arm and that it had no aid of flight.

IS moving a planet even a feat of strength? There is no such thing as gravity in space,so it should weigh nothing. It's own gravity,if wonder woman is out of it's field, should not change a thing.

Somehow I doubt flight and the ability to survive in space alone are sufficient to move a planet.

There are still gravitational forces from the sun. Even if there weren't, you would still have to overcome the tendency of the object to remain at rest due to inertia.

None of them are using strength other than grip power to hold on to the lasso. The pulling is being done by their flight power. Pulling an object and pressing it over head are light years apart in terms of strength. Mark Kirsch pulled a 205,000 lb plane 100ft, but wouldn't come close to military pressing even 600lbs.

Superman pressing 200 quintillion tons is far and away more impressive and he does it with one hand. Its not even a contest, it isn't even in the same leaque, heck it isn't even the same sport.

All Star superman also uses his thumb and index finger to pick up a key that weighs 500,000 tons and he does it with ease.

I am not sure whats going on here . But all star Supes was clearly a freak of nature.

His strength is way beyond regular superman. Even when he did that feat i am pretty sure he said he could do more and that just with one hand. He wasnt even Angry or trying to Cut loose. Wonder woman pales in comparison to him.

But she isn't lifting anything she didn't lift 1/1000 of the earth she pulled it with her flight power (with superman and manhunter helping her to boot). The point of the airplane pull was to show that pulling an object is nothing compared to pressing it. That being said, a Strongman pulling an object is even more a physical strength feat than Wonder woman pulling the planet because strongmen are using all muscle to pull the plane and wonder woman is using her flight power. The only physical strength she is showing is gripping the rope the rest of it is flight.

All Star Superman was supersaturated with solar energy after a trip to the sun. Like is said, he picked up a 500,000 ton key with two fingers easily.

Wonderwoman isn't in that league and the one strength feat being shown is a flight towing feat in the weightlessness of space. Once their flight locomotion got it moving it would actually drift along, albeit not as fast, by itself.

AS Superman, by a long shot.

Here's a feat not yet mentioned.

He was arm wrestled both Atlas and Samson with one hand each at the same time, and beat both with no effort while causing them discomfort.

look at wonder woman can't lift 500,000 ton?hum~~~the lobo lift 1000000000000 ton and crush it,this need more power

No Caption Provided

superman is stronger than lobo,at least superman, supergirl powergirl and wonder woman is far far than trillion ton

maybe AS superman is stronger....i think you are right.

Actually no, however the approximate weight of earth is 6E24 kilograms, meaning 24 zeros. Therefore, 20 quintillion tons is nowhere close to the actual weight of the planet.

However, they never lifted the planet they moved the planet, and when you move a planet you are moving its MASS and not its WEIGHT. These are 2 different science concepts and 2 different measurements. To stretch out a little bit weight is based on the gravity (g) of the planet, in our case the gravity of earth which should be 9.8 Newtons. There is however no gravity on space therefore pulling or otherwise moving a planet on space means you are moving its mass which is measured based universal gravitational constant (G) which is 6.67Nm2/Kg2 or (6.67*10 ^-11 m3/(kg*s^2)) whichever you are comfortable with. These are two different feats that are scientifically incomparable.

I totally agree with this post. I believe I mentioneda88378438once before as well, I suppose he did not get what I meant. Firstly pulling is not the same as lifting. Secondly lifting something on the surface of a planet, i.e. lifting its weight has nothing to do with moving something on space, i.e. moving its mass. These are 2 completely different scientific concepts (mass, more specially inertia and gravitation vs weight and gravity). Should you like more details please refer to my previous post.

To be honest, I never once mentioned that AS superman is stronger than normal superman, or anything to the contrary.

Maybe AS superman is stronger, maybe he isn’t, I am not touching that topic.

All I meant was, Superman being able to lift something super heavy is not something you should compare with them being able to move a planet.

No he isn't. He is weaker than Current Superman.

Wonder Woman wins, she's stronger (Than THIS version), faster and better skilled.

i think AS superman may is stronger than current superman(maybe is three time than)

wonder woman muscle strong is far than trillion tons(12zero),but i think is not 1/3 of the earth level...she.far far far weak this,AS superman can lift 18 zero tons,he should be stronger than curren superman and wonder woman...,but not far...

Wow people beliving you can move the earth easy because there is no gravity in space... So tie a little rope to the earth, go into outer space and pull. As HughJass said the Sun's gravity would still effect it. Not only that but even a start's gravity from another Galaxy and it would still effect the Earth (incalculable small but still). Gravity works no matter where you are. Aside from Gravity the Earth is traveling at 29.79 kilometers per second in its orbit around the sun , and traveling trough space at 365 kilometers per second. More info here: http://www.astronomycafe.net/qadir/q457.html So you will not only need to overpower the gravity from the sun but depending on the angle you will also need to overpower the speed that it is already traveling trough space. Now even if the earth that is at rest (asume it does not move at all) and no gravity is effecting it (asume it is posible) and you will still need an insane amounth of energy to move it. Its Newton's First Law, "An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force". Now the numbers i am defenetly not going to bother calculating(even asuming i could actualy do it:P).

Actually superman had help from wonder woman to move the earth. different versions of superman have different stregth feats.
