Welcome to the Captain match of the All-Star debate. This is a little deviation from both a regular CaV and a tourney match so I'll give some background to the unaccustomed. After a 3 stage voting process, 10 users were selected to become All Stars. 2 of those 10 were team Captains and they each chose 4 people to be on their team. The All Star debate will consist of 5 separate 1v1 CaV matches, and whatever team takes home 3/5 will be crowned the victor.

Without further ado.

Introduction: Hank Henshaw aka Cyborg Superman

No Caption Provided

Bio

After being exposed to cosmic radiation whilst piloting the LexCorp shuttle Excalibur, Hank Henshaw, along with his wife and crew members gained horrifying powers as a result of the cosmic radiation. Eventually all of his crew members perished from this tragedy, including his wife Tess, and he left the planet using knowledge assimilated from Kryptonian technology. Henshaw's mental state deteroriated over time and he eventually blamed Superman for causing the loss of his wife. He took on the form of Cyborg Superman using Kryptonian genetics and machinery as part of a plot to ruin Superman's name. He wiped out Coast City with the assistance of the alien warlord Mongul. Though he was defeated by a resurrected Superman, the Cyborg Superman escaped death and continued to wreak havoc across the universe. He joined the Manhunters, the Sinestro Corps and briefly took the power of the Phantom Ring in his insane quest to rid the universe of life and eventually end himself as well.

Powers & Abilities

  • Technomorphing/Technopathy
  • Superhuman Strength
  • Superhuman Speed
  • Superhuman Durability
  • Energy Projection
  • Shapeshifting
  • Regeneration
  • Flight
  • Heat Vision
  • Multiple Power Rings

Physicals

This section will cover both strength and speed feats as Henshaw is more than just your typical flying brick. Even so, Henshaw has shown incredibly impressive feats of strength and speed that make him more than a physical match for Norrin, even his superior in strength. To begin, in Superman vol. 2 #107, Hank casually stomped the 'Superman Family' of Superboy, Steel, Matrix Supergirl and Eradicator without any issue.

Eradicator, Superboy and Matrix Supergirl are low high tiers and Steel probably ranks as a mid tier yet Henshaw ragdolls these four like nothing. Moving on, Henshaw has casually overpowered Mongul I and held him in place merely by twisting his arm in Adventures of Superman #504.

No Caption Provided

Given that Mongul can overpower Wonder Woman since For The Man Who Has Everything is canon in the Post Crisis/Rebirth DCU, hold his own against Pre DOS/OWAW Superman and gave Hal Jordan and rookie Kyle Rayner good fights, Henshaw humiliating Mongul so easily becomes all the more impressive.

In Action Comics #999, Superman states that Henshaw is every bit as strong and fast as he is.

No Caption Provided

Clark only gained the upper hand over the Cyborg as he was still groggy from being released from the Phantom Zone. Furthermore, Hank has one shotted Guy Gardner with a single blow in Green Lantern #12.

No Caption Provided

Guy has taken a prolonged beating from Lobo without going down straight away yet Henshaw gave Gardner the one punch treatment in a single hit. Even more impressive than that though is Henshaw manhandling and overpowering Superman himself in Superman: The Man of Steel #100.

It goes without saying that the Man of Steel is a pretty big heavy hitter amongst the heroes of the DCU with strength feats ranging from casual city level to moon busting. This doesn't stop Henshaw from handing Clark a can of whoop ass and has Supes at his mercy until he's interrupted by some Kandorians. Lastly for now, Henshaw has torn a Doomsday clone clean in half with a speed blitz in Superman/Batman Annual #5.

Henshaw has also blitzed the likes of Hal Jordan in Green Lantern #13 and blitzed Superman from orbit to New York in Tales of the Sinestro Corps: Cyborg Superman.

Under the same writer Hal was fighting Sinestro at FTL speeds from the moon to Saturn in a couple of pages in Green Lantern: Rebirth #5 which makes Henshaw blitzing him all the more impressive. And Superman's speed feats are too numerous to list in a debate that's not specifically about him so suffice to say Clark is considered the next best thing to a Flash in terms of speed yet Henshaw was able to blitz him before he could react.

Whilst Henshaw may not have as many speed feats as Surfer, he has shown a higher consistency of applying his speed practically in combat compared to how the Surfer typically utilises his combat speed in fights. And when it comes to brute strength, Hank manhandling Lanterns and Kryptonians with ease illustrates that toe to toe the Surfer is not winning against the Cyborg.

Durability & Regeneration

As a result of his cybernetic body and Kryptonian genetic structure, Henshaw is packing a lot of endurance, which will make it incredibly difficult to permanently keep him down, even against someone as powerful as the Silver Surfer. A good starting point for Henshaw's resilience would be shrugging off hits from Superman on two occasions, Superman vol 2 #108 and Superman: The Man of Steel #100.

In the first instance, Superman was angered as well so that would have added a little extra oomph to his punch yet Henshaw is unphased on both occasions. Another instance that highlights Henshaw's tenacity for taking punishment occurred during one of his most heinous acts of destruction and murder in Superman vol 2 #80. Whilst fighting the Eradicator, Henshaw is caught in the explosion that wiped out Coast City.

The magnitude of the blast was said to surpass any weapon invented by man, which presumably include the force of man made nuclear weapons such as the Tsar Bomba, the most powerful man made nuclear weapon ever tested with a yield of 50 megatons. Although the Eradicator is barely alive after the explosion, Henshaw, by stark contrast, is unscathed by the large city busting explosion.

Henshaw is tough enough to tank a combined construct attack from Kyle Rayner and John Stewart and keep fighting immediately afterwards in Green Lantern Corps vol 1 #52.

No Caption Provided

Whilst tanking blasts from two elite Green Lanterns already seems like a strong durability feat, an arguably even better one takes place in Green Lantern #13 where Henshaw withstands an all out blast from Hal Jordan that in Hal's words was as hot as the sun.

This is no small achievement given Hal's energy projection feats. Although I know you're well aware of them, for the sake of the debate, some of his most notable feats include;

  • One shotting Captain Atom (Action Comics #887)
  • Overpowering Nero who was using Kyle Rayner's Ion power at the time (Ion: Guardian of the Universe #4)
  • Blowing a hole through Amazo's with a surprise blast from behind (Justice League of America #23)

Given what Hal is capable of, Henshaw shrugging off Hal's best shot looks even more formidable in context.

However, there are times when Henshaw has been harmed, but luckily he can fix himself in no time thanks to his technopathic regeneration. In Superman/Doomsday: Hunter/Prey #2, Henshaw immediately constructs a new body after Superman destroys the current one with heat vision.

In Adventures of Superman #531, Henshaw makes repairs to his body in half a second.

No Caption Provided

When General Zod broke the left half of Cyborg Superman, Henshaw reconstituted his body within a single panel in Suicide Squad #19.

But perhaps Henshaw's most exceptional feat of regeneration was accomplished going up against Parallax Hal Jordan in Parallax: Emerald Night #1. Given how monstrously powerful Hal was as Parallax, it's hardly a surprise that he blew a hole straight through Henshaw's chest. But Henshaw not only survives this, he fixes the gaping hole in 3 panels.

Hal fired that blast with intent to kill as stated by himself at the bottom of the first scan yet Henshaw recovered from that injury in moments. Whilst it cannot be denied that the Surfer is packing a lot of firepower, Henshaw possesses both incredibly high durability and regeneration displayed against opponents that possess similar degrees of power to the Surfer, and on occasion above his power level. Thus, although the Surfer's energy projection is indeed formidable, he will have a very tough time keeping Henshaw down for good.

Energy Projection

To paraphrase a popular saying, not only can Cyborg Superman take damage, he can also dish it out as well. A precedent has been set for the evidence supplied so far so I may as well continue it with this first example of Henshaw's damage output being able to stagger Superman in a single blast in Superman/Doomsday: Hunter/Prey #1.

Again Superman's durability showings are exceptional in their own right ranging from tanking city busting to planetary level impacts and withstanding attacks that have left his fellow heroes incapacitated. But Henshaw's track record against the Man of Steel doesn't stop there. Revisiting Superman/Doomsday: Hunter/Prey #2, Henshaw's blast causes Superman to cry out in pain.

No Caption Provided

And to top it all off, in Superman #108, when a being called Tribunal-Prime takes control of Henshaw's body, he uses it to literally one shot Superman in a single blast.

Now could the Surfer one shot Superman too? Almost certainly but that doesn't take away how impressive this is for Hank to do so. On a slightly less impressive but still Superman related note, after adjusting his heat vision to hurt Superman Blue's energy form, Henshaw was able to overwhelm Superman Blue with a prolonged heat vision attack pure energy body with Clark being unable to handle prolonged exposure to Henshaw's blast in Superman Red/Superman Blue.

No Caption Provided

What makes this particularly impressive is Henshaw not only causing an energy being pain but that Henshaw's body at the time was made out of toys. So this wasn't even Henshaw's Final Form at the time.

Another example of Henshaw utterly dominating someone with his energy blasts can be demonstrated in Hank humiliating Mongul on two occasions. The first two times occur in Superman #81, both during the present as well as a flashback and Henshaw gives Mongul a reminder of who's in charge in Action Comics #979.

Considering Post Crisis Mongul could take blasts from Hal Jordan and rookie Kyle Rayner, Henshaw turning him into his personal lapdog seems more notable by contrast. Moving on to another one of Henshaw's impressive feats of damage output, Hank has equally matched with Supergirl's heat vision in Action Comics #983.

No Caption Provided

On its own, this does look admittedly unremarkable. However, the power Supergirl's heat vision packs is quite astounding as she has blasted the Zor-El Cyborg Superman from Argo to one of Saturn's moons in Supergirl vol. 7 #3.

(Source: TheKinfing - Ultimate Thor vs Supergirl CAV) Argo was established to be on the outer orbit of Saturn in the same issue. Based on this that means that Kara blasted Zor-El hundreds of thousands of kilometers in seconds, even acknowledging the position of Argo, at relativistic speeds at the very least. And Henshaw matched her in a heat vision clash.

Lastly, Henshaw's firepower is amped up even more with his possession of multiple power rings. As a final demonstration of what Henshaw is capable of with multiple power rings in his possession, he's one shotted Hal Jordan in Green Lantern #11.

The Surfer has some undeniable impressive durability feats in his corner and has taken attacks from opponents as well as cosmic forces that are immensely powerful. Nonetheless, Henshaw has demonstrated sufficient firepower that will give the Surfer more than singed silver skin in their battle.

Technopathy

The source of all of Henshaw's powers demonstrated above comes from his technopathy, or control over machines. Henshaw is a living example of the Ghost in the Machine as he can inhabit, create or control virtually every form of technology in the DC Universe, as well as grant himself a multitude of powers. Henshaw has taken control of technology created by the Guardians of the Universe twice, firstly the Manhunters (Green Lantern #12) which number in the millions and then the Alpha Lanterns (Green Lantern Corps #49)

Henshaw can use his technopathy to create an entirely new body for himself even if his current one is damaged or destroyed. For evidence of Henshaw doing this, he's done just that in Superman/Batman Annual #5 where he creates a new body within seconds from Boodikka's corpse, and then takes control of the Watchtower with his technopathy.

Henshaw doesn't just need cutting edge tech to rebuild himself though. In Superman Red/Blue, Henshaw reconstructed his body out of children's toys, and he was still capable of giving Superman Blue a hell of a fight.

Moreover, the scale of Henshaw's technopathy can be implemented on a massive level. He's not only interfaced with the entirety of Engine City (which was created following Coast City's destruction) but his technopathy is capable of controlling an entire planet's technology in two instances. The first takes place in Superman: The Man of Steel #52 where Henshaw takes control of the entire Tribunal planet.

Henshaw has also allowed him to enslave the planet Grenda, which was inhabited by over a billion robotic lifeforms that Henshaw placed under his control (Green Lantern Corps #50)

No Caption Provided

Henshaw's technopathy doesn't stop at controlling tech or rebuilding himself with it, he can utilise his techno hax in combat quite effectively. As previously shown in the regeneration and energy projection sections, he can create a robot with enough firepower to hurt Superman (Superman/Doomsday: Hunter/Prey #2)

No Caption Provided

He can also create autonomous robots capable of fodderising the likes of Steel.

No Caption Provided

He can shapeshift his body to create weapons and appendages such as tendrils that can restrain the likes of Superman (Superman: The Man of Steel #100)

No Caption Provided

And in case Surfer tries to drain the Cyborg for an instant win, I'm afraid Norrin won't be affected by this tactic. In Adventures of Superman #563, Henshaw lured Superman to Kandor where Clark's powers waned without a yellow sun whereas Henshaw retained his full powers.

No Caption Provided

So Surfer won't be able to replicate the tactics he has used against other energy based opponents such as Sympira. There are a couple more things Henshaw can do which will be covered in subsequent posts.

Closing Thoughts

I would personally rate Cyborg Superman vs Silver Surfer as a very close match up. Both Norrin and Hank possess similar degrees of power, endurance and hax that make them closley matched in many respects. To summarise so far:

  • Physicals: Hank has stomped teams of high tiers and overpowered Kryptonians, Lanterns and even a Doomsday clone with his physicals. Surfer does have Class 100+ strength for sure but he lacks Henshaw's performance against physically superior opponents such as Superman. As for speed, although the Surfer might have more raw speed, he has an uneven track record of utilising it in combat. Henshaw has shown a willingness to blitz in combat more consistently in his fights which will help against the Surfer's speed on his board.
  • Durability & Regeneration: Both the Cyborg and Surfer are very hard guys to put down but Henshaw has the additional bonus of being capable of regenerating damage done to body parts or even his entire body that will make a prolonged fight difficult for the Surfer. Henshaw has cheated death numerous times so the pacifistic Silver Surfer may not be the person to put Hank out of his misery.
  • Energy Projection: In this respect, the Surfer has achieved feats of destruction with the Power Cosmic that Hank admittedly does lack. However, Hank has still one shotted his share of high tiers such as Superman without his rings and has one shotted Hal Jordan with Power Rings. Between these two sources, Henshaw has the damage output to do some serious damage to Norrin with his blasts.
  • Technopathy vs The Power Cosmic: Whilst the Surfer possesses a ridiculously versatile powerset, some of his abilities are only shown once in a blue moon which hinders the likelihood of using them in combat. In contrast, Henshaw is willing to kill his opponent by any means necessary and his techno hax isn't shy of versatility either. Henshaw has also proven very adaptable with his hax in combat which will allow him to counter many of the Surfer's hax abilities.

Overall, I believe Henshaw's comparable firepower, insane regeneration and techno hax will allow him to best the Surfer in a battle of the ages.

Silver Surfer

Bio

Norrin Radd better known as Silver Surfer is originally from Zenn-La, a planet filled with a race of long lived humanoids. It was a Utopia that had very little crime or disease and was very technologically advanced. Norrin's life changed when Galactus came to his planet with the intention to consume it. To save his planet from being eaten Norrin offered to become Galactus's herald to help him find planets with life to consume. Galactus accepted and transformed him into the Silver Surfer, giving him access to the power cosmic and taking away his humanity.

Eventually he came across Earth, a planet he found suitable for Galactus to eat and where came into conflict with the Fantastic Four. After talking with Alica Masters, he was able to regain his humanity and rebelled against Galactus, stopping him from eating the planet. He was however banished to Earth as punishment for his betrayal. He has since managed to leave Earth and has proven himself to be one of the universe's greatest Heroes. He has been a member of teams such as the Annihilators and the Defenders.

Powers and Abilities

Surfer gets his power from the power cosmic that was bestowed upon him by Galactus when he was his herald. During the Annihilation storyline, Surfer became even more powerful thanks Galactus removing power blocks that had been placed on surfer. The power cosmic gives him access to a plethora of abilities as well as increasing his physical abilities.

  • Superhuman Speed and Reflexes
  • Superhuman Durability
  • Superhuman Strength Class 100+
  • Cosmic Senses
  • Force Field Creation
  • Energy Absorption, Manipulation and Projection
  • Matter and Molecular Manipulation
  • Telepathy
  • Telekinesis
  • Intangibility
  • Regeneration
No Caption Provided

Speed

I'll start of by discussing Surfer's speed. Surfer is unlike most marvel characters in that he actually has quite a few reaction and combat speed feats on a high tier level. He is comfortably FTL in almost all aspects of speed. To start of I will post one of his travel speed feats. In Guardians of the Galaxy #60 Surfer shows FTL Travel speed by being able to quickly catch up to Starhawk who had already left the planet at 3 times the speed of light.

Now usually travel speed doesn't matter too much in battle but we have seen him use his travel speed as a method of attacking people. Specifically in Cosmic Power Unlimited #3 where he bullrushes at the speed of light to penetrate the defenses of Jakaras Ship. Surfer can travel at significantly faster speeds as shown above to bullrush people.

Now on to some more reaction and combat speed feats. Silver Surfer has quite a few instances of moving and reacting in nanoseconds. One example of this comes in Silver Surfer Vol 3 #143. Here we see Silver Surfer jump start the engine of a portal within a nanosecond. He was able to jump into the portal and reignite the portal to go through it in a that time frame.

Another example of Silver Surfer operating in the span of a nanosecond is in Marvel Comics Presents Vol 1 #1. Here Silver Surfer is caught in a trap that begins leeching his Cosmic Power. With just a nanosecond left before he is completely trapped, Surfer manages to break out of his shackles and avoid being completely drained.

No Caption Provided

This shows Surfer's ability to operate in nanoseonds and shows that he does have FTL reactions and movement speed. And Surfer on occasion has utilized his speed to his advantage. One example is against Nova Prime, a marvel high tier with decent speed himself. In Nova Vol 4 #14, he first bullrushes Nova before he can react and then proceeds to blitz him twice. Nova does manage to tag him eventually but it does no effect and Surfer ends up moving too fast for him track anyway.

Strength

Now Surfer doesn't have many standalone strength feats whether it is striking or otherwise, however the few he does have are pretty good. Silver Surfer has displayed the strength to punch someone to the atmosphere and to another part of the planet. This was done in Marvel Comics Presents #174, when he punched Lunatik into the atmosphere and into the north pole of the Planet they were on.

Surfer has also fought a lot physically powerful opponents who have show great strength and durability. For example Surfer was able to take on Skaar, the son of Hulk, and give him a beatdown. This was in Skaar Son of Hulk #7 where Skaar was using the old power to amp himself. Despite increasing his physicals, Skaar was still taken out by Surfer long enough for Surfer to sever his connection with the old power.

Skaar is pretty solid mid tier brick who has taken hits from Hulk himself, someone Surfer has taken on a few times. One such occasion is in Incredible Hulk Vol. 2 #95. Here Surfer was actually being enslaved and weakened, yet he was still able to knock away Hulk and even over power him. Surfer also casually dealt with Korg. Hulk is a pretty solid high tier, who under the same writer was able the put Sakaar's tectonic planets back together. Sakaar is planet even larger than Earth.

Another High Tier that Silver Surfer has been able to over power is Beta Ray Bill. In Beta Ray Bill: Godhunter #2, the two fought each other in hyperspace and we get to see Surfer use his speed and strength to his advantage. Surfer first tanks a strike from Bill before blasting him. He then gets the drop on Bill by using his board and proceeds to beat Bill to the point of submission. This is bought a great speed feat and strength feat as he was able to fight at FTL speeds and bring down someone who has tanked planet busting attacks.

Durability

Silver Surfer has some great durability feats, both physical and energy related. I'll start of with some lighter feats, beginning with Infinity Countdown #4 where Silver Surfer tanked a portion of a planet busting attack alongside Warlock and Ultron. Surfer had seemingly taken no damage from the attack despite being caught directly in its shockwaves. This is a pretty solid energy durability feat.

In terms of a physical durability, Surfer managed to tank a FTL Bullrush from Nova Prime with no damage at all. He later wrestled with Nova Prim and in doing so the two crashed down on to the planet below. And again in the following scan it shows that again Surfer has taken no damage from the fall while Nova Prime is on the ground.

On to a more impressive set of durability feats, in Avengers Annual Vol. 1 #16 we see Surfer tank two planet busting attacks from Korvac back to back. First he tanks an energy attack that was could reduce an entire world and then he get crushed by bunch of meteorites that forms a planet around him. Surfer casually gets out of it which is a good strength showing too. And he seems perfectly fine after the two attacks.

On top of that Silver Surfer also has regeneration in case he does take any damage. In Silver Surfer Vol 3 #120 we see Silver Surfer get attacked in multiple ways by Uni Lord. He gets cut up, turned to paste, and then crushed into tiny marble. In the following scan we see that Surfer is infact fine and has regenerated from the previous attacks.

Energy Manipulation

Surfer's bread and butter. Surfer is a casual planet buster when it comes to energy attacks and is also a really good energy manipulator. To start of with his busting feats Silver Surfer has shown to be able to bust a planet on a few occasions. One such instance is in Annihilation: Silver Surfer #1. Here we see Surfer Planet Bust and as a result of his power he created a blackhole.

Later in Annihilation: Silver Surfer #4 we see Surfer destroy a planet again while fighting Ravenous. He does this very casually just like above and whilst fighting Ravenous in hand to hand.

Aside from just blasts though, Surfer has shown the ability to manipulate energy in other ways. Surfer is able absorb energy and redirect it back at his opponents. The best example of this is when he fought Uni Lord, again in Silver Surfer Vol 3 #120. He absorbs an attack from Uni Lord and redirects it back to him a million times over.

Surfer can do more than just absorb energy attacks though. He has also shown the ability to drain people. One big example of this is the Hulk, someone Surfer has drained on more than occasion. One example being is in Silver Surfer Vol 3 #125 where he drains a Banner-less Hulk's gamma radiation from his bloodstream.

In that same issue we see later see Surfer using his energy manipulation to create forcefields to protect him from Hulks attacks. Hulk is unable to break his forcefield once it is put up.

Other Abilities

The power cosmic gives Surfer access to bunch of other abilities. From telepathy to molecular manip, a few of the abilities bestowed upon him can be very useful in combat. One major ability of his is telepathy. Surfer has shown telepathy on a planetary scale in Annihilators #2 where he calms the entire population of a planet.

Silver Surfer also has matter manipulation. One instance I'd like to bring up is when he fought Nebula in Silver Surfer Vol 3 #110. Surfer manipulates Nebula's body armor using matter manipulation to turn it into cocoon to imprison her. This is mostly relevant here because Surfer can potentially manipulate Henshaw's metal to trap him.

The final ability of his that I will bring up is his telekinesis. Surfer can use to TK to throw large objects are his opponents. In Annihilation: Heralds of Galactus #3, where he uses TK to throw large debris at Tenebrous and Aegis two extremely powerfu beings.

Initial Counters

Hank has stomped teams of high tiers and overpowered Kryptonians, Lanterns and even a Doomsday clone with his physicals.

Surfer's performance against Beta Ray Bill is arguably as good as Henshaw's showing against Superman. Especially since Beta Ray Bill has consistently shown planetary durability. Surfer also gave Hulk a run for his money whilst being weakened and I'd argue he is physically on Superman's level. In terms of speed Surfer does use it consistently but when he is determined to win he can use it. I'm not going to argue he blitzes Henshaw but he has sufficient speed to keep up and avoid getting blitzed him. And even use it to dodge attacks.

Both the Cyborg and Surfer are very hard guys to put down but Henshaw has the additional bonus of being capable of regenerating damage done to body parts or even his entire body that will make a prolonged fight difficult for the Surfer. Henshaw has cheated death numerous times so the pacifistic Silver Surfer may not be the person to put Hank out of his misery.

Henshaw's durability is good and his regeneration is even better but non of the people he has faced has fire power quite like Surfer. Surfer has casual planet busting energy blast and even more so when he is trying. The only person who has that level feats in your durability scans is Kyle but he only used an energy construct against Henshaw. Parralax Hal can probably planet bust and he was able to blast a hole through Henshaw. Surfer can fire large scale planet busting attacks as seen in my scans that will encompass Henshaws entire body and reduce him to nothing left.

In this respect, the Surfer has achieved feats of destruction with the Power Cosmic that Hank admittedly does lack. However, Hank has still one shotted his share of high tiers such as Superman without his rings and has one shotted Hal Jordan with Power Rings. Between these two sources, Henshaw has the damage output to do some serious damage to Norrin with his blasts.

Surfer is more durable than Super or Hal Jordan. The Superman in those scans is Pre OWAW who I believe doesn't really have any great energy durability feats. While Surfer on the other hand has casually tanked planet busting energy and physicals attacks. With the Hal example, I think the fact that it was a surprise attack played a pretty big part in taking him down. And even then Hal was just dazed really, he was back to fighting soon enough. And had a prolonged fight with Henshaw later on. I don't think Henshaw has shown the raw DC to suggest he can take down someone who has no sold planet busting attacks the way Surfer has. No to mention Surfer has pretty good regeneration himself

Whilst the Surfer possesses a ridiculously versatile powerset, some of his abilities are only shown once in a blue moon which hinders the likelihood of using them in combat. In contrast, Henshaw is willing to kill his opponent by any means necessary and his techno hax isn't shy of versatility either. Henshaw has also proven very adaptable with his hax in combat which will allow him to counter many of the Surfer's hax abilities.

I'm not sure how useful his technopathy will be here. For example the examples of him creating robots, was that done mid battle or prior to the fight? Because if it is the former it will be mostly useless here as Surfer isn't going to stand by while Henshaw creates a bunch of bots. It will help regen wise but I already addressed that above. Shapeshifting is pretty cool but Surfer has Matter Manip and as shown against Nebula he can use Henshaw's metal against him. While Surfer also has telepathy too to use against Henshaw. Finally in regards to draining I don't see how your scan proves Henshaw can't be drained. All it proves is that Henshaw doesn't need a yellow sun like Superman does which makes sense as Henshaw isn't a kryptonian and doesn't rely on the sun. But that doesn't save him from being drained by Surfer.

@lvenger there it is. As always I might just go back and correct any grammar stuff.

Well played ET, you've brought your A game as I expected. I will try to get most of my response done this weekend, if not all of it if I can.
