Did we see the Super 8 monster's durability tested at all? It was immune to assault rifles, but I don't recall seeing it harmed at any point. I saw the movie opening day, so I honestly don't remember. Unless a restriction can be proven for the Super 8 monster's physical limits, this is going to be pure speculation at best.
For example, could the Queen's claws/tail harm the monster, or would only its weaker spots (eyes) be vulnerable?
