Adult Loki vs Adult Apocalypse

OK, everyone agrees that Kid Loki would beat Kid Apocalypse.

No love for a Loki vs Apocalypse prep battle either? 
 
I honestly don't know which way this would go.  In a random encounter, I think Loki would take it. 
 
But they're both pretty good at prep.  They've both proven to be highly skilled at the long con (having had thousands of years of practice each) as well as the short term manipulation of individuals.  They both have a lot of resources at their hands, one in the form of Asgardian magic and the other in the form of Celestial tech.  They both have their weaknesses: Loki is a bit flighty and twee, and Apocalypse is a bit overly bullish and alpha-male. 
 
I think I would maybe go with Loki though; his manipulations often take him to higher levels of power (dealing with Mephisto, Hela, Odin, Surtur) and different planes of existence than Apocalypse, who usually deals with mutants (albeit sometimes high-end ones) on Earth.  So I think Loki could manipulate some more powerful entities onto his side than Apocalypse could for his.

Really? I thought he was a kid. To be fair he did change up his attitude as he is no longer evil, just falls into bad situations and gets caught at the wrong time.

I agree. But this battle is now between the adult versions. (The kid version was a previous battle I did.)

Yes, he is actually a kid. He has the shape of a kid, but his mind/spirit was also reborn anew.

Yeah, in Acts of Vengeance, but it was interrupted with no real result, I believe. In any case, the emphasis here is on prep. Which one is better with prep? They're both experienced in making plans over thousands of years.

Loki is better with prep in my opinion.

I have to go with Loki here. Apoc would probably try to work through minions, and build some tech. Loki would plan for that, and just show up with Norn Stones or an Infinity gem or something. Loki should win 8/10 IMO.
