Acnologia destroys Yamamoto.

Yamamoto has better defense and more powerful offense..

Acno has better offense and is resistant to everything else than DS magic...

How is it that Yamamoto has more powerful offense but Acnologia has better offense? Care to clarify?

Any reasons in particular?

@kingguinness: It's mainly the fact that he's significantly faster, massively stronger and has more DC than any version of Yamamoto bar Bankai, by a lot. It's also way more in-character for him to transform into a Dragon than it is for Yamamoto to use Bankai.

Acno can only win this if their both in base and he decides to blitz, but the moment they go into their strongest forms, yama vapes him.

@hittheassasin: Acno is faster yes, but in terms of DC yama dwarfs acno in that(in bankai). He's heat would v burnt the surface of soul society had he not restrained himself or had the battle stretched on longer.

I'd assume that's true. Yamamoto would never use his Bankai in most circumstances.

Some people make the mistake of assuming bankai yama is planet level but that is false cuz nothing was stated that he would bust it.

Yamamoto isn't multi-continental, he's more towards country level. At any rate, Yama doesn't use Bankai in-character, and definitely won't use it before Acnologia blows him away. Even if he does use it, Yamamoto still has no counters to being nuked with an island busting Roar from above, especially since Acnologia is faster.

That's not really Yamamoto's direct DC with a single attack, it's the damage his Bankai would cause over an unspecified period of time.

The 15 million degrees is his body.

His sword has an unspecified amount of heat that’s implied to be much hotter than his body.

@ourmanuel: Don't ask me. To be fair though, Acnologia is basically the Yhwach of the verse, and Igneel would be the equivalent of Ichibei. They're god tiers who are far beyond most of the main cast interms of power.

@ourmanuel: Fairytail was never slow. There are lots of good speed feats in the verse but people on here choose to ignore them and bash on the series.

Laxus lightning feats, characters blitzing laxus, dragons continent crossing feat(it was calced at mach3500), then we have Irene deus sema that crossed planetoids distances in seconds(thats subrelativistic) and a few others.

If it’s Base vs Base then acnologia has a chance of winning that. But If it’s full power than Yamamoto turns him in ashes.

Even with the feats presented here, I'd see Yamamoto still winning here, however, I can't confirm it, as I have yet to start FT, might do it soon.

I'm sorry, but I don't see it. Acnologia casual island+ busting attacks, that isn't something any Yamamoto other than Bankai can compete with.

A single slash from acnologia can rip Yama in two

A single roar from acno would kill Yama

If Yama goes Bankai acnologia can just fly to the sky and nuke him in his Bankai

I don't see Yama defeating acnologia honestly. He's got the speed, strength and fire power to put him down

By that logic, any island/country level character would be planet level if they just continuously spammed attacks at the planet all day. It's not indicative of Yamamoto's direct DC with a single attack, just something that would happen eventually.

And that's only in Bankai, which he'd only use in the most dire situations. What arguments do you have for Shikai Yamamoto keeping up with Acnologia?

While suppressed he still had to wrap up the fight with Royd quickly and considering these are characters who are easily MHS it’s pretty clear that the Soul Society was going to meet its end soon and not ”over an extended, unspecified period of time“.

OT: I don’t really read fairy tail but i’d bet money Yammas being downplayed here.
