Acnologia vs Luffy

In character, post timeskip Luffy, ravines of time Acnologia, takes place on an uninhabited, indestructible island, start fifty yards away, win via KO or Death, no going off the island, no water can touch Luffy and Acno can't get motion sick.

Luffy trashes Human Acnologia. Hard time against Dragon Acno...but can take the win if he can reach him and hit him in Gear 4th.

Acnologia durability against blunt force and physical attacks is meh. Igneel took him down for good with punches and took one of his arms away with 1 bite. A single KK Gun and Elephant Gatling murks the dragon.

i am interested as to why you separate durability and endurance for different forms of attack who carry similar traits.

@ravensupreme: Because Acnologia lacks of both against physical attacks as strong as Post Timeskip Luffy ones.

both a physical punch, as well as an energy beam/blast etc. move with a given speed in a forward directed momentum. both on impact either lose their momentum when the object they hit is durable enough or keep their momentum when the object gives in to the force of the punch/blast.

if someone has enough durability to withstand the one, he also has the durability to withstand the other. in the end both forces carry a given yield of energy. the amount of energy the object withstoof should be the relevant factor.

i realized this forum treats certain things different from the forums i am used to, so i ask specifically how specific things are treated.

i do not really care for acnologia per se, but is it common to completely separate a characters durability into subcategories? where does it stop then? blunt force, cuts, energy blasts...?

I don't know much about Acno but if he has any half-way decent energy attacks he can win if they land. He needs the speed and durability to react and take Luffy's initial blitz.

Tbf, If Acno tried to fight him CQC, he would get wrecked but if stays at range and nukespams Luffy with roars and eternal flare, he should take this quite comfortably

Hmm does the attack in one panel and the next panel is huge explosions. Time frame is obvious af. Do you think they were sitting on a rock for 5 minutes or something waiting for his explosion to destroy parts of Fiore? God you guys yell time frame for the most bs stuff.

Obversation Haki only let's him see a little bit into the future and all he'll see is a big explosion and then he dies as the attack gets shot off as soon as the battle starts.
