Bolin has lava bending

Aang has all his earthbending feats

Round 3:

Bolin has lavabending.

Aang has his agility as though he had airbending

@gizmorino: any reasons? @llehdevil: that was the idea. We've seen him fight some without using extensive agility, and I think we can count some of his agility as long as its not clearly enhanced

@arcus: he has better earth bending feats and he also has a fluid movement for an earth bender.

Any particular feats you think are better? Even in book 2 Aang had some good ones

@arcus: his fight against the earth queen's guards when they saved kai, though it was kai's moment and win but..... He showed some moves, projecting them high enough to the bison, he has some good moves, but i would have to do some re-watching....

Bolin sweeps.

His earthbending Eos is both more diverse and more powerful than book 2 aangs(let's remember the finale feats....) and we all know how it goes when an earthbender fights a lavabender....

Aang's earthbending certainly improved from Book 2 to book 3, but even in Book 2 he had some solid feats

Outside of lavabending, Aang has showed more versatility in the element. Raw power should also go to him.

Think he can take round 1 with just Book 2 feats? What about with lavabending?

@arcus: Possibly. I might back him for a slight majority. Lavabending is just A bad matchup for earthbenders in general, so I'd back Bolin given that fact.

They're both incredible earthbenders.

You guys shouldn't count Aang out so quickly. He has really strong earthbending power (Sozin's Comet) and has a seismic sense.

Not combat but nice showing for Bolin, especially doing it out of a moving train

@arcus: Well in round 1, Aang has the edge in raw power, but Bolin has quite some skill and could counter and take him, but Aang's power will be a problem.

In round 2 Bolin can turn all Aang's attacks to lava and take him.

In the final round Bolin can do wide range attacks, but Aang could dodge, so it gets to who hits first.

For round 2, Aang's raw power could be to much for Bolin to easily counter

Bolin's earth bending is horrible and Ang in S2 has much better feats than him. Seriously what are Bolin's lava bending feats Lol I'll wait.......

Bolin honestly is the worst matchup for Earthbender Aang. When relaying on Earthbending only, Aang's combat speed diminishes by alot an against Bolin,combat speed is an absolute necessity. Lets not forget that lava ending is Earthbender kryptonite.

Think Bolin's speed is enough to handle Aang's raw power round 1?

@arcus: Aang has more raw power. If he has agility I don't see Bolin tagging him, especially when Aang has his own, stronger earthbending. Bolin could beat round 2 with lavabending

Aang has a huge advantage in speed and raw power, but lava-bending trumps earthbending pretty much every time. Without lavabending Bolin loses every time.

Give Aang any other ability and he stomps every time.

You think Aang could beat Bolin with water or fire bending?

Definitely. He was bending more water in the first episode of season 3 than Korra was showing bending while in the Avatar State. His fire-bending matched Ozai's for a period. Earth-bending was always his weakest subject and he's still got a huge power advantage over Bolin there. Lava-bending stops being an advantage when he can't transform the element Aang is throwing at him.

He had Yue boosting his bending for that. Firebending was his weakest element, yeah he matched Ozai a bit, but there's a reason he ended up needing to use his other elements more despite firebending being enhanced. Earth was his strongest element after air, why do you think he used it so much in combat?
