Aang's Firebending against Ozai is definitely more impressive than Mako.

Aang's firebending may be his weakest link.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but in close quarters, Mako has a better ratio. And both in character.

Mako has shown us more techniques in firebending. For instance, fire shields, combination attacks, daggers, and jets. His lightning won't be an issue since Aang has redirection, but I don't see Aang firing it back at him in character. I think it's a close match, but Aang is a better fighter, more creative and a lot more agile. He still has impressive agility even without airbending. I could see him dancing around Mako until he burns out all while looking for an opening on him.

not really surprising because he had the Comet by his side.

OT: Mako wins but not easily.

I think they're both pretty on par; for now I might side with Mako, with major difficulty.

Assuming Eos aang, even with just being restricted to fire he still has and uses the fluidity and evasiveness of air bending within his fire style + he can redirect any lightning from Mako. Aang 6-7/10

@ben2004: Comet is an equal amp ergo it was meaningless between 2 firebenders.

@jdogg: considering the argument was that an AMPED Aang obviously had more impressive showings than Zuko, I wouldn't call it meaningless.

@ben2004: You mean Mako? I would still since the feats were against the strongest firebender in the series. The feat would be impressive regardless of the amp.

I'm sorry Mako should take it like 8-9/10. He's a far better firebenser in feats, offensive and defensive. Aang needs more than 3 feats of basic firebending and then mostly unusable amped showings to beat an all round very capable firebender.

Mako stomps. Mako is equally skilled with Zuko (with equally skilled I mean he is close in skill).

@vengefulparadox: mako is underrated on here. Very much so.

Mako is in the top 7 firebenders in the franchise.

Only surpassed by the royals and Korra and Roku.

@jdogg: ah i said Zuko. I'm stupid. But yeah the feat is impressive. It's just completely pointless since we are arguing for unamped Aang not amped Aang.

I'd have to give it to mako 6.5/10. From what I remember mako should take it, unless Aang got a decent amount better in the comics, I haven't read them all.
