VS
- Win by death/ko.
- Random encounter.
- Takes place inside a 1 mile x 1 mile indestructible box.
- Thor doesn't have Jarnbjorn, and will be fighting Doomsday pure H2H.
- Use unworthy feats only for Thor.
Just DoS feats? idk then. Thor is powerful but Doomsday in that story didn't showcase much apart from beat down a shadow of the former JLA and dying to Superman (but he killed him, so eh)
I'm not sure Thor with his bare hands could defeat Doomsday tbh. Could buy it with a weapon, but blunt force is a tricky way to handle the brute.
@baph: Without using any non Unworthy feats?
@kirkseven: Yes.
@sazzmi: I agree
Doomsday. Despite his DOS feats looking slightly underwhelming he still kicked the Justice Leagues ass.
@takenstew22: Well, his feats are relatively unimpressive due to him being legitimately weaker than his later forms. Like, continent level+ maybe. Still a good match up for a weaker Thor imo.
@takenstew22: Isn't most of Justice league that wasn't Superman is a fodder in DOS arc or barely has anything impressive compared to guys like Diana,Barry,Hal & J'ohnz?
Actually he was getting hit by punches stronger then that, but keep being a fanboy lowballing everything non marvel related.
>Literally dies on panel to punches that were only shattering nearby glass with spectators literally a few metres away totally unharmed
>yOuR JuST wAnKiNG mArVeL
Keep being a fanboy and thinking DoS Doomsday is strong because in different comics under different writers Superman was actually strong ?

oof

So stating a fact is now being "biased" and a fanboy? Instead of talking shit why don't you engage him and prove him wrong? Yeah, because you can't.

He shattered planet level glass

Double oof.
Unworthy Thor actually one-shots.
Not only was DOS DD garbage tier, most people aren't aware of Unworthy Thor feats which are in some cases just as impressive as his Worthy ones, DD has no answer to getting sliced up here.
@randybutternubs: @captainmarvel11: @major_hellstrom: @baph: @pipxeroth: I have no idea about this match-up, but limited collateral damage shouldn't be used as an anti-feat. As a feat, sure... But as an anti feat, no. IIRC, Immortal Hulk knocked Unworthy Thor's tooth off without any single collateral damage, not even a shockwave, lol. Street level Unworthy Thor confirmed?

Agreed.

There's a huge difference between collateral damage not being shown (which is primarily due to writers not giving a shit) and it being explicitly shown at a very low level like it was in DoS.
You have to be extremely disingenuous to argue that these punches, where Superman and Doomsday were explicitly shown to be going all out and putting all their force behind their hits and only shattering the nearby windows, is the same as writers just not caring about collateral damage and ignoring it and the punches were actually planetary yadda yadda.
@lan_fan: Not just the tooth, but fractured his skull too and gave him a concussion. You can use collateral damage as an anti-feat, depends on the feat itself, like if the comic goes out it's way to show a certain explosion or shockwave, yes you can measure the limits of a feat by that, but when it doesn't, it's better to look at the effect it had without the collateral and then compare it to the rest of the feats being used. IIRC, DOS era was extremely underwhelming, Superman got KO'd by a gas explosion, he struggled to hold a 300 ton plane, he struggled to outrun a single military missile, his and DD fight was so underwhelming considering they literally fought to the death that later comics had to add additional effect like in Batman saying that the fight actually shook the world. And that's actually fine to use as well, but it still wouldn't be enough to beat Unworthy Thor, he has tanked more damage(and only speaking as Unworthy Thor feats) than DD can dish out, besides that axe is such an easy win for him, it's hard to argue Thor not slicing DD up unless we try to wank the speed difference.

I don't see why they should be treated differently, to be honest. Agree to disagree, I guess. I don't know (or care) enough about the match-up to discuss this further.

I think you should've mentioned those before the collateral damage anti feat one, lol.
@lan_fan: There's a difference between Thor vs Hulk, this version of Doomsday has no prior feats to scale from, and this version of Superman is inconsistent as hell, so the only way to determine how powerful he was we have to look at his collateral damage feats(or basically the most quantifiable ones), which aren't impressive compared to other versions of Doomsday.
IM Hulk scales from his previous incarnations and his recent feats prior to knocking out Unworthy Thor.
Thor doesn’t even has his axe here and using Superman lower end feats as his average to make Doomsday look less impressive doesn’t seem very fair to me, but to each its own.
remember how hulk breaks odindaughter's skull and knock his tooth out with one punch?
one punch from DD, Thor's head comes clean off
@mrtrickster: judging by "feats" listed above, he would get slapped around even by Colossus.
@mrtrickster: judging by "feats" listed above, he would get slapped around even by Colossus.
he would, thor is the most pathetic hero in MU, alongside his father odin
@mrtrickster: Wait, so Immortal Hulk= DoS Doomsday then?
@mrtrickster: I'm talking about Doomsday. Thor would murk him any day of the week. And "breaking glass in nearby buildings" is pretty pathetic as far as destructive feats go.
@mrtrickster: Likewise, Superman and Doomsday in DOS were KOed by an exploding gas station. Doomsday recovered faster, but thats not really saying much. You really want to go there?
Ursa Major and King Crab never beat Thor. They just grab him and we dont know what happens after that.
@brucerogers: They grabbed Thor and literally nothing came out of it, Thor was complete fine afterwards. But this guy is from KMC so you know exactly what to expect from him. Herald tier Morlun lol.

If he doesn't have his axe than i change my mind. What are DOS Superman average feats in your opinion?
