Ok, this probably won't be a great vote because normally I like to read the debate more than once, but no way in hell was I reading this again. I think Hellstrom proved that the Bridge could give Reed knowledge of his opponents, though I never saw it definitively used as scrying. Hellstrom showed a lot of powerful tech from Reed that has the power to take Highfather out(though I have major problems with Ego >= Galactus, Galactus is easily over Ego). Hellstrom did point out that Chime did not use much evidence, whereas he showed much more, this convinced me of points like Darkling's spread being geometric. Chime did show powerful feats of Highfather that Hellstrom's team would be hardpressed to survive. The Galactus Battle Armor had an impressive striking feat, but no durability or speed feats to show it could tank or react to one of Highfather's blasts. Hellstrom showed Jackie could maybe survive a blast from high father, though I think that the sun dagger was a bit wanked in this post as Hellstrom said it was comparable to planet wiping, while Highfather had feats above that. This was close, Chime had the simpler strategy with less holes and less chances to fail, but Hellstrom had many, many more ways to win. Ultimately I'm voting for Hellstorm due to Chime's lack of evidence, which Hellstrom pointed out, and Hellstrom's multiple paths to victory. Great debate

@kevd4wg: Thanks for the vote. Just a question, what did i fail to provide evidence for?

@chimeroid: Not that you necessarily failed to show evidence, but rather when there were contradicting views, Hellstrom often showed more evidence than you, which made me lean toward Hellstrom on a number of points.

Thanks for the input. I have recently been trying to cut down on number of scans i use. However, i pretty much used every combat showing for Highfather. He doesn't fight a lot.

I wasn't convinced by some of the arguments your opponent had made, mostly due to the fact that he didn't give evidence for some of his claims. For arguments like if the Prison would work here I didn't see any proof that it would work against Jackie's darkness simply because it counters energy, or that Darkling's growth was arithmetic.Your team more than a few ways to obtain victory, which made me vote for you.

I said Jackie would be able to leave the prison. I just said that his team doesn't actually have a way to survive Highfather's huge-ass blast.

This was actually a lot closer than I thought. Seeing as how I don't have time to stay on Vine for prolonged periods of time right now I'll just get to the point and people can ask for clarification if I'm still online afterwards.

The Bridge: I do believe the bridge would at least give MH the information he needs here.

Growth of Darkness: I am more inclined to believe MH on how fast it grows.

Depowering Tech: If it finds its target then it should be able to depower Highfather and Ywach.

The Prison: Should the other team be trapped there it should depower them. To my understanding the Darkness is an entity or "living power" much like Parallax. And Chim showed the Darkness isn't more powerful than Parallax.

Anti Galactus Armor: Im not entirely convinced that Reed would use such a thing in character, but even still it seems to make some of the prep convoluted. Especially since Jackie has to make the tech IIRC. In all honesty I don't think this suit would even make it to the battlefield.

Highfather s Energy Manip: I wish this had been emphasized more but Izaya has the raw power to deal with most of the other team. One-shotting six bots that Orion couldn't put down is something that shows HF could put down most people from a distance.

Likewise his Alpha Bullets allow him to teleport people around.

There are other things that I comment on but what it comes down to is this. I don't believe that some Chims counters were effective enough in terms of the geometric growth argument and the Bridge. But at the same time I found MHs prep to be convoluted especially in regards to the Anti-Galactus Armor. In addition, the counters against things like Parallax and the Mother Box seem misguided. In other words there were mistakes made on both sides IMO. The only thing that pushes me towards one side is I believe that HF would more of an opportunity to depower/attack before being depowered. So with that I would vote for Chim because I think his strategy is more probable in this scenario.

Okay, that took a while.

I'm not quite convinced that Jackie is even capable of creating most of the stuff Major claimed, but I don't remember Chime trying to ask for proof on that regard, so I guess I can't blame him. Don't think the darkness would grow that fast either, but it doesn't seem that necessary.

Major convinced me that the darkness monster thingies were more like constructs, although they're basically the same as summons in practice, seems loophole-ish . . .

The Bridge was a little confusing, guess it depends on how it downloads stuff into the brain. Is it just the images and sound? If so, I don't think it'd quite work with all the darkness around. If it's more like just "knowledge", it should work.

I say Major wins, mostly because he has so many ridiculously overpowered tech, and I think Chime's strategy wasn't the best to handle the situation.

I was bored and lonely so I started reading this. It was pretty fun I guess. Learning about new characters and whatnot. That Darkling girl seemed pretty cool in terms of aesthetics and the fact that she's an obscure Captain Marvel villain. Anime moustache guy had a convoluted powerset that seemed interesting. That's also a good chunk of this match it seems. Convoluted powers. The Bridge kinda went over my head but that's probably because I have the IQ of the average goldfish.

Anyhow, I'd say Kelly (@major_hellstrom) wins this match. The whole spreading dark stuff strat was super cool and I think it worked pretty well. Now that's what I call synergy. The moustache guy, although cool, kinda seemed like deadweight in all honesty. Sure he can make traps that may kill an opponent, but they already did what they had to so it's whatever. Highfather didn't seem strong enough to carry either, especially after being zapped by Reed's tech thingy. But yeah, Kelly wins, better prep powers and strat.
