Would you consider the 1960s theme song to be the catchiest Batman theme song ?
Probably
Catchiest...yes, best...no. That honor goes to the Danny Elfman Batman 1989 Theme.
Best is kind of subjective.
Is it true that the song actually has no vocals and the "Batmaaaaaan" is actually the sound of a trumpet or some other instrument?
- Yep it certainly is..Ive heard people of all ages hum this song..
- And boy howdy has Batman changed alot in the last 50 years..I cant imagine Batflek,Keaton or Baleman running around to this..It however would be a beyond awesome easter egg if Batfleck were to hum this in say Justice League.

Questions that ask if ______ is something ending in 'st' (worst, best, catchiest, sexist) are almost always subjective in nature.

You're right.
Definitely. The best has to be Shirley Walker's Mask of the Phantasm theme though. Elfman's second of course.
