What's the definitive Batman outside of comics for you? Personally it's a dead tie between Arkham and DCAU.

Definitely the animated series and Justice League. Arkham is a very close second.

Adam West reruns was how I was introduced to Bats as a kid. It still has a warm spot in my heart because of that. I now watch Bold and Brave episodes on Amazon with my 6 year old son, because it's clever and captures much of the same campy magic.

That being said, Batman Begins brought me back to comics after a long hiatus. Nolan gets a lot of hipster hate on this site for some reason. Unjustly so in my opinion.

Kilmer in Batman Forever. He was a better fighter than Keatons Batman and a better Bruce Wayne. I also like his suit better because it was sleeker and a black belt makes more sense than a bright yellow belt. t's also my favorite Batman movie although I'm aware many people don't like it.

This

Are Nolan movies part of the DCAU ? I don't think so. His movies have no links to the current movies univers DC is trying to make (under the banner DCAU). Nolan movies have there own univers, as did Burton/Schumacher movies.

I like them all in their own ways personally, but if I want something that stays faithful to the source material and accurately represents it then I go with the DCAU Batman. When it comes to live-action, the Nolan Trilogy is no doubt my favorite along with the 1960s show, they stay pretty faithful, not as much as the DCAU version, but they were still outstanding.
