With the whole Bat-God revelation going on, I just was just wondering, "Surely Geoff Johns has to be aware of the Bat-God meme? (Largely popularized on CV)..." What do you guys think? Do the opinions of viners and official reviews/community threads/ official CV content ever have anything to do with the material comic book writers and artists put out? idk, maybe it's a silly question, but I feel like we're a huge part of the very core comics fanbase. Does the Vine have any real influence? Surely, there's members on DC's staff that see this stuff?
Why they should?, we are an small number of fans, even when the site looks huge.
Also i think the BatGod meme got all over the internet, if he mentions the Chew, then you know he is messing with Comic Vine.
Chew has been spreading the good word before coming to CV.
Some writers have accounts here that they rarely use and CV staff like G-Man actually do interviews with writers like Scott Snyder and others so most writers probably know the site exists. They may even visit sometimes. But no, we have absolutely no influence. Writers aren't listening to random people on the internet. They have their own ideas and stories and their own things they need to do to satisfy the higher ups.
