Really Earth One? Just curious.
Year One, easily.

Earth One is a great continuity, TBH. I always enjoy DC's Earth One stories the most. The tone, the characters, story, etc. it's all great. Specially the Superman Earth One stories. Fantastic.

What is wrong with earth-one ?
Zero Year. Year One's a classic in its simplicity and tone, but I find Zero Year to be the more enjoyable read.
Even though I'm not one of its ardent worshipers Year One has a distinctive style that makes it classic, you wot find many Batman stories like that. Zero Year is drowned by the preceding and succeeding Snyder blockbuster epics that are written in the same style and follow a similar approach.
Year One is one of my all time favorite comic books. It's my favorite comic book origin story. I think it's pretty much perfect.
I enjoyed parts of Zero Year, but I have no interest in returning to it. The only thing I remember about it was that it showcases the worst password in the history of voice activated passwords. The guy's name is Kane and the word "Cain" is the password.

Nothing I like it, I'm just not a huge fan of it. I mean I don't really like Bruce (he comes across as unlikable), his character gets drowned out by everyone else character in the book and well he suck as at being Batman (which is meh). I found Riddler to be meh and didn't much care for the new Jim. I like the new twists and on some heroes/villains such as Alfred, Bullock, Croc, Penguin, and Two Face (even though I found it kinda lazy since superman already did something like that with the Lex's). To me Earth One is a good read but nothing groundbreaking.
Im just curious to why you like it personally as an origin story, I like hearing others opinions.

For me I like earth one, it does some interesting things with the characters they use but I haven't exactly been blown away by any of the stories so far, just liking it enough to keep coming back to check out whats going on.
@lxlgiftedlxl: Maybe you didn't get the concept of earth-one books. It is a earth where every character is more realistic and plosible. So it's the end of the batgod.
I found interesting the origins of Batman and Alfred. A good fresh new take.
You are right about Bruce but it doesn't make the story less good.
Nonetheless Miller's Year One is a close second. He did'n invent anything. He just rewrote the origins again but with good writting and nice art.
@jb681131: Thanks for sharing your opinion its cool to see others viewpoints.
Nah, I got the concept of earth one. I completely understand its a more realistic take on the heroes. But this realist take isnt that good.
Why would you bring up Batgod? He doesnt exist =P. It doesn't matter that he isnt portrayed as mainstream batman, I would just like him completely competent at his hero work (hes getting there slowly). He did improve since volume 1 but nothing major.
I mean Bruce is a spoiled brat who gets his parent killed and acts like a idiot while Alfred is one of the best things to come out of the book. Id say Alfreds origin is more intresting than Bruce's Id say the same for Bullock and the Dents.
I would say having Bruce's character be unlikable, drowned out and meh at his vigilante work hurts the story and makes it less good. It is about him after all with his fight to make the Gotham better and help its inhabitants, his internal and external struggles as well as his dichotomy with his villians.
@lxlgiftedlxl: I guess I will have to agree with your analyse.
@jb681131: Cant tell if sarcasm or not =P.
But nah if you like it like it, my intention was just to know why you like Earth One and have a conversation about it. Like I said before thanks for sharing your thoughs I like hearing others opinions on stories.

It is not sarcasm
@jb681131: Ok, well like I said thanks for sharing your opinion.
Zero Year, in my opinion, much better art, more compelling introduction to Bruce Wayne, and a far more effective Riddler. A couple of stilted moments I didn't like, and would perhaps have handled the climax differently, but its an amazing book, and a super fun read. Year One always gets credit for doing it first though.
