I hadn't thought I would ever post art here, but I keep suggesting artists here work on sequential art pieces since it's the most important part of comic book art. I like to think I've improved some since this, but I got good reviews on the "story telling" aspect of this. We'll see what people think.

Oh, thanks for the heads up. Could you try again, and let me know if it's working now? Thank you.

Hey HeroUp2112, I like your environment, and the character looks good, you can tell it's him in all the panels. There's 2 things that jump out at me, in the first 3 panels, you have the same character looking in 3 different directions, it's like he's having a conversation with himself. Maybe he is or maybe you want to give the impression of him looking all around. I don't know. For me, I like to keep my characters on one side of the panel, and try to have them facing one way, makes the read of the character easier. You could do the characters as a silhouette and the readers will still know who is who. I noticed you had an in between shot to set this off, between the 2 head shots, but it still would make the read easier if the character stayed to the same side of the panel and faced the same way. The only other little thing in this lovely page, is his location in the big panel. Is that him in the middle? As well he's looking the other way from the last panel above again. I would suggest bringing him to the forefront, you could do an over the shoulder image. It would anchor him in the panel, as well as saying "this is what he sees".

Your art looks great Hero, good structure, and you have all you levels, foreground, mid and background. looks good

@ardenbelfry:

He's actually actually thinking to himself, so it seems I did that okay I guess. The last shot is supposed to be an establishing shot of where he is, and also have space in the lower left corner for the title and credits of the story. It's also going to be on the last page of the story as a call back. A friend of mine wrote it, we were going to try to use it as a submission work, but I finally convinced him that doing a whole book wasn't a good idea. Anyway, the whole thing was about Nightcrawler dying (lol before he actually did), and the vehicle in the extreme foreground is a hearse, that's what he and the other guy are looking at, but again that won't be clear until the end of the story. Minor foreshadowing, wondering if that was a good idea now though. The main guy is Nick Fury. Without the word boxes though, yeah it's hard to tell he's doing a monologue.

Thanks much for the critique.

Yeah, it's hard to make time, I feel you. I mainly do commissioned character portraits these days. This is 8 years old, I'll try to do some new page stuff, it is time consuming though lol. Thanks for the compliments, again, bro.

No this was for a submission comic a former friend of mine wrote. I finally convinced him that doing an entire comic wasn't a great idea. Glad I didn't have to draw and ink an entire comic of an already existing property (it was about the death of Nightcrawler) that other companies may not have wanted to see. That was the first page. I did the break downs of several more before I convinced him we should try an original idea, but it never panned out.

Thank you for the compliment.

Your ability to draw backgrounds/environments is flawless, if you've improved on human anatomy since then, you may as well be working for Marvel.

Don't leave me hanging. What do/did I need to improve on my human anatomy. (I don't disagree that I didn't)? All critique is good critique, get detailed please. :)
