I doubt this will work, but im gunna try anyway. If anyone would like to help me just say so.
Do me a favor? Draw my character?
Well i was going to if i got anybody even remotly interested. I want a nice picture for my page of my RPG character. However, i lack the artistic ability to draw him at all. If someone was bored and couldn't think of something to draw off the top of their head then they could try this. I guess thats my idea?

"I think what Manarg was saying is that you need to add more information about the character you want portrayed. If it's interesting enough I'm sure you'll find a few here and there that might help. Not so sure casting the hook out before you bait it is gonna get you much of anything.

...good point. Sorry. Well he's about 6'1" muscular build. Short dark brown hair, like a buzz cut. Normaly brown eyes but they glow red when using his powers. He's got two suits if someone wanted to do one and/or the other. His first was just a skin tight suit that was red and black with a domino mask. He wears boots and gloves are optional. Similar to that of hal jordan as a red lantern (see avatar). He had his emblem in the center of his chest which was a black skull and crossbones with glowing red eye sockets like himself. His second costume was a light black armor. Breastplate, shoulder pads, forearm, shin, thigh plates. Under the armor was a durable red mesh that covered the gaps between armor plates. Domino mask is still present and now he is weilding black claymore (made of the same metal as the armor) with a semi ornate handle and crossbar. Sheathed on his back. Slightly longer hair on this version.
As his powers go, he manipulates a red energy. No constructs, but it could be charged into his fist(s) and it would glow. He could also make an aura of the energy around his body. Pose him as you see fit. Im not picky. And if you wanted to put his name on the picture obviously its Overkill. Without the underscore that is present in my screen name.
Need more? feel free to ask.

Deadpool is right. What robin wears is called a domino mask. Around the eyes and across the bridge of the nose. If you look at my avatar you'll see hal jordan wearing whats called a venetian mask. Pretty much a domino mask but it comes down to the tip of the nose rather than leaving that exposed. I'd be ok with a venetian mask too if someone wanted to draw it that way. anymore questions?
"It's on my list of things I want to do, but I can't really promise anything.@payno:
"
wow... so the long pause was not me being SOL but at least one person attempting to draw me! Wow, nice art there Payno! I'm definitely putting these on my page. Anyone else trying this?
" @payno: did you actually draw this or use a computer program "I'm pretty sure he uses a program. But who cares? His work is amazing!
" @hydrabob said:I was asking to see what program he was using because i also can't draw and thought a program could help me with that" @payno: did you actually draw this or use a computer program "I'm pretty sure he uses a program. But who cares? His work is amazing! "
I will show you the process I went through to create this character if you are interested.
1. I began by sketching out the character in Photoshop, using a Wacom tablet.
2. Then I go over the sketch on another layer using the pen tool. (Sometimes I just tidy up the lines on the existing sketch).
3. On seperate layers below the lines I fill in the flat colours.
4. I then add the highlights and shadows.
5. I then add the final details like special effects, textures, etc.
Payno is a genius.
it's kinda funny how the perceptions of using a computer program and drawing get mixed into this weird idea that doing one means you don't do as much of the other.
Payno is the perfect example of what good drawing married with digital knowledge can accomplish. The examples he provides, shows it's a step by step process in visual layering.
(that may seem like a technical challenge due to software but the real battle is the creativity of dealing with what you got to work with)
When you got it all down, you can rip out a challenge before they even finish explaining :)
nice job as always Payno.
