BATMAN: STREETS OF GOTHAM #13 (and I know that yes Batman Beyond, is kind of a 2099 version, but I'm just giving this contest a test run to see if it's a good idea or not)

I'll go out on a limb and say this doesn't sound stupid. This is actually a pretty eerie coincidence, I just managed to randomly pick up some issues of Doom 2099. If I can get back full time internets I may have to try this.
Well the thing is DC kind of has a 2099 version of Batman, Batman Beyond, which was a very good show. They also had other versions of these characters in the future which were pretty cool too. I don't remember seeing a ton of them though, I think Hawkman, Green Lantern and stuff.

whatever man. this is great, never ever let anyone make you doubt your abilities and potential. Sure there are flaws in it, but as you draw more and grow as an artist, the flaws will disappear.
I'll admit, this one kinda got away from me. I ended up Liebfelding the feet (oops), and I'm not sure the cloak really works, but the idea is that the cape is generated by the suit, which would allow himself to basically expand his cape of darkness into a room and whatnot. Not sure if the style is really "2099", but it's kind futuristic.
As always, if someone is all like "I could color this sucker better than Muffin shades it!", I have the linework in my image gallery. Feel free to go color crazy!
@Omegaman10: Pretty cool, I especially like the cape. The placement of it is interesting, and I like the way it curves around the body. Pretty decent for a quick sketch!
It was a series first. And the others "reimagined" for that universe were Superman, Warhawk, Dolphin, Green Lantern, and Barda. And Caligula, this is a great idea for a contest, but howsabout opening it up to all of Comicdom? What about Spawn 2099? Or Wildcats 2099? It could be a contest to reinvent a character for future generations. Just a thought.

well I actually have mine done, it's just not colored yet. because I haven't uploaded it yet, and i have to upload it to color it since i color digitally. and the reason i haven't uploaded it is i left it at my fiancee's new place. and I live on campus at my college. so I will either have her bring it to me, or i'll pick it up next time im at her place. but i swear i'll have it up before the contest is over. :D

This isn't an official entry. Just a page in my sketchbook that i drew the other day while waiting at Triple A (AAA).
The concept is that batman is dead in 2099 but his spirit can't truly rest and so manifests into this ghostly apparition that haunts/protects gotham from the grave. Or something like that.
also, a bunch of old people staring at me at AAA while i was in the waiting area on the bottom of the page. And some quick color separation in photoshop because the lines were ugly.

This si only my official entry if I can't get a colored one in on time. Still, he's the predacessor to Terry McGinnis, the Batman from Batman Beyond. His cape is 90% bulletproof and flame retardent, his cowl has a series of vision settings, some of which are based off of studies of Superman, but the heat vision is unincluded. His gloves have fingertips that can scan fingerprints and so on and also include knuckles that carry an electric charge. Besides that, it's just the same advancements as Terry's suit but with Bruce's classic style.
To the winner of this contest... Assuming it will be like the other contests where the winner gets to decide the next contest, may I request that it be popular DC character like Caligula did here with Batman? I mean it would be easier designing for an already established and well known character so could I ask that it be someone that is not a one-shot character? Thanks! Just a suggestion... :D

Caligula, this contest has a ton of potental, great idea. I'd like to see if we could get it stickied at the top of the page, maybe a mod could help out? CaptainCockblock 's name of the New Generation Challenge is a really good name too for future threads.
Just saw I was late so if I didn't make it thats cool. We had massive blackouts from that freak storm so I wasn't able to post sooner. But if voting hasn't started yet I might still have hope so I'll leave it to you, Caligula .
His name is Capa Nadri. Computer operator by day, hacker by night, he is one hell of a genius. But he still finds out time to take out creeps of Gotham city during the nights. A special nanotech self- enhancing bat-suit is all he needs.
