FATE. (Kinda took a note from the SMALLVILLE version so I made my redesign a bearded homeless man) (This is just my concept piece;might do a full body sketch)

in honour of the fallen innnocent folks in the Paris shops. Previously I was gonna leave it for another thread, but the author of that thread seems to be less than, shall we say, a fan of people like Drefuss, from French history, or Whitney Cummings.

cool entries

@jugjugbanks I like the classic style mixed with the esoteric
@egod a very clean and concise look
@keroga a great and fun tangent from the expected
@decept_o has a new 52 meets George Perez styling which is neat

Been a while since I entered one of these. Hope you like, Dr Fate was one of my faves when I was a kid.

If anyone digs my piece, I am glad. But, I only turned it into this comp as a respectful bow of the head to the folk slain in the kosher deli in Paris. So PLEASE, everybody, vote for anyone BUT mine. Seriously. Mine is oin support of the French, and this site, but I have a personal favorite out of the designs above and I'll be voting for that entry myself (unofficially).

Man has no defense against the big ol' hands of Mr Fate

Drew a really big picture and hand inked it with a fine sable brush and Indian ink. Then I drew a vertical pencil line roughly through the middle and scanned the pic in two halves. Next up I aligned the two halves to their individual lines with the photo straightening option in "windows live photo gallery". Then.... (gasp.)... I put the two halves together in paint. Then I made several copies of the joined images and took a couple of the images back to WLPG where I fiddled with their colouring. Then I opened the coloured files in paint and masked off the parts of the image that weren't the colour I wanted, selected all and copy/ pasted the coloured sections over the original black and white J-peg file. If anyone knows of a more time consuming method for colourising their art, I don't wanna know about it.-- I'm already exhausted.
