Alright for this I just sort of figured that since the new movie is gonna come out that there was a few people that would have chosen a different costume for the movie or you know just Thor in general so he here it is have fun!
Here's my shot. Winner or not, I took time for this one, and I'm proud of it. Not to mention I looked up some stuff on viking wear (such as the helmet) and the alphabet. The symbol on Thor's belt is the symbol of Mjolnir, Thor's hammer. Hope you guys enjoyed, and I had fun with this one. :)
WOW this thread is just... each design, literally each one is so awesome. Not that other threads don't bring it too. I just considered I would be extra critical in a Thor redesign thread since I like his armor, but this stuff in this thread is legendary!

My rendition of my brother's design, I just wanted to add the Ultimate Mjolnir to him. Also I thought it looked pretty cool to have him dual-wield hammers.
woowee, some sweet ass entries came in while I was gone. It's gonna pop a brain cell when it comes time for me to decide :)
I started on this last week before I took off but couldn't get back to it till today.
I went with the Norse description of him with fiery red hair and more traditional type of garb. I always kind of wondered why Marvel didn't go that route.
@tonis: awesome, and on your comment about Marvel's costume decision, I'm sure they questioned the presence a dude in a loin cloth style outfit and dead animal skin would have on people. Just be glad they didn't go traditional with Greek style gods, most of them were depicted *gasp* naked! ha ha .
Couldn't decide between Mjolnir or Stormbreaker. Also, I am a huge fan of the big Yellow boots, hence the updated version of the Colossuss-esque boots.

@FrischDVH: nice job, that's a cool costume design. Really dig the helmet and how you blended the hair with it.
Also those lightning patterns and the little bubbly look you gave them always rocks from your style. You must spend hours working on all those small crazy little details and it really produces a stunning finish :)

Well Odin's eyeball did tell Thor that before him there was a redheaded Thor. It explained that the redheaded Thor died in the original form of Ragnarok, and I don't recall whether it was implied that redhead Thor was the one of myth. But the redheaded Thor's son along with the other children of the Norse pantheon joined together to form a new Odin, and that Odin created the version of Asgard that we read about in the comic books. And I forgot to mention, wonderful entry. It's really well done. I love the pose you put him in.
Ok so I'm posting after a long time, and I haven't really done a great job, as usual its not coloured, cuz I cant colour for nuts!! ;) hope you like it though!! Also my scanners not working so I took a picture and posted it.
Alright here you have it my Thor. while I was away on a trip I had been getting a few plans brewing but when I got back and saw all of the entries i knew I had to step it up. After hanging out with my friend for a couple of days, and being that she is an aspiring tattoo artist she helped me come up with a few little details that were a pain in the a^^ to draw I got this, Hope you like it I know I do. :)
