Just finished some Christmas art and thought it would be fun to do a comparison. So I found a pic I did last December, show off how far I've come, feel good about myself for a few minutes before I notice all my recent mistakes and realize how far I still have to go. XD

Anyway, enjoy!

December 2014 You can see I got a little bored by the time I got around to rendering the cape and background. :P

And though it may be a bit late, Merry Christmas, everyone!

Well, I don't think it's worth stealing just yet. :P

As for my strategy, I haven't really developed one yet. I just got back into digital painting, so I'm still trying out different approaches to my art. I do try to use reference images whenever possible, though. Not really copying from them, but using them to help me with proportion, lighting and whatnot.

And thanks for the feedback.
