Battle contest #71: Battle of the Gods!

For this battle its time for the Dimi-gods and Meta-humans to take a step back and take notes from the masters!

Rules:

• Each artist must pick between two beings that are above celestial level
• The two characters chosen must be from different publishing companies (for instance marvel's Odin vs dc's Zeus)
• Different incarnations of the same God are allowed to be pitted against each other
• Demons and "evil"gods are also allowed
• Characters may originate from different backgrounds (Anime, Comics, Mythology etc.)

I just might draw my interpretation of two mythological gods from different pantheons, is that acceptable, like they would be tied to any particular publisher, they would be my own creation.

I may have bitten off more then I can chew on this one. Ares vs Wonder Woman, but I am doing poses that I have never done before and I can't find any good references...but i will do my best to get it done on time :)

*huffing and Puffing* I made it!

Ok..I really had a terrible time with this one. I wanted to go with some Egyptian styled Gods, like Horus and Ra and stuff like that. But just couldn't get a good handle on their designs. So then I said...who would be better at fighting then the actual God of War right? So I was then like...Hey, didn't Wonder Woman have some crazy promotion becoming Dc's God of War and go super sayan without her braclets on?? HUZZAH!!

But then it just got worse from there, lack of good references for poses, and I never drew Ares before either *sniff* Not one of my better efforts...

I will need to bounce back with my next entry...but for now, ENJOY!

It took me awhile to figure out how I wanted to approach this. I scribbled a couple of sketches down and they were all just dudes slugging each other.I wanted to do something beyond an action scene but still showed conflict. I realized at this time that I had never drawn Loki... like ever. But Loki is a conniver way before you could consider him a fighter, you know? So I though, who else have I never drawn? Trigon... I've never drawn Trigon... or Raven! Dear lord, why have I never drawn these characters? Everything just rolled from there. I hope you enjoy it... and maybe ignites some fan-fic or something.
