I've got a lot of coloring to do. This is the first of my Superhero vs. Superhero drawings that I'm coloring for the next few weeks.

Originally posted on my blog, I'm happy with the way it turned out. Color is a tricky thing. And when you're not good at painting and you want to give a little bit more depth to your line art with color, it can get downright frustrating.

At least I'm learning a lot, which is always good when you're tackling something you're not good at.

I see no evidence to suggest that you aren't good at coloring. This looks really good! :)

@zzombie13: Ha ha ha, thank you very much. That's only because I don't post the stuff that didn't really work.

This drawing was a lot easier to color than the one I'm currently working on, which has made me want to cry a few times.

I used to love the black and white graphic novels of the 80s. That was what inspired me when I was growing up, so that's the style I went with when I decided I wanted to make my own comics. When I finally realized I needed to start learning to color them, it was a huge challenge. Heck, it's still a huge challenge. I'd much rather keep everything stark black and white, but I got in the habit of adding color several years ago. It can be tough though. In my perfect world, everything looks like a copy of Sin City.

For this piece, I love the lighting, the way the flash in Batman's face is illuminated, and I like the simpler background. Very nice work. :)

I feel your pain, and it's good to know I'm not the only one who struggles with this stuff.
