This is some good stuff here. You kept your light source consistent. Good use of separating the different elements with the inks without going crazy about it. Really good overall form (which is 90% of the battle). Good design elements throughout this piece (juxtaposition of the figure with the building elements). Good use of the different color tones in the buildings to separate them but make them obviously be part of the same format and still highlight the central figure.

One detracting thing. Whatever brush you used to do the texture on that inner wall kind of got away from you a bit, it looks kind of flat and one dimensional. I can't tell EXACTLY what you did, but (guessing) it might have helped if you go in with a smaller airbrush and "sculpt" out some more divot areas in black, especially in behind where some of the brighter elements of the texture are (in line with the light source) Just one idea.

@heroup2112:

Hey there thanks! This was just an experiment on using hand drawn lines for most of the background. I see artists do either ruled or hand drawn so I was curious. I do mostly the ruler method.

I was falling asleep when I was finishing this right before I posted.

Earlier in the process I was planning to make the background pop more. I agree with you on what you pointed out but at least for the moment I just added some highlights into the stone to help the effect a bit but I may go back and put more detail so it really has a fuller effect.

Thanks for stopping by and letting me know in detail how you felt. :D

@jexsu:Hey man, thanks a bunch, I appreciate it! :)

I like it when people pick my stuff apart so I can improve, I figured a serious artist (like yourself) might appreciate the same. You did a great job here so there wasn't much to pick apart.

I agree, I don't get much of that myself but its welcomed. I do try hard at times so that there's less and less that people can point to without nit picking. I knew I was getting there a few years ago when they where picking on a clavicle hehe...

Did you catch the Spawn I drew not long ago?

@bumpyboo:

Boo thank you. Nice to see you around! :D

@deathstroke512:

Hey there thanks! The symbol was intentional.

I imagined him in a real world scenario and a big symbol plastered on your chest wouldnt be something you would see.

If he has a tactical looking suit and gear for fighting crime I figured either a small one like Robin has on one side of his chest or one like I drew on his arm.

Im just experimenting with ideas. He also has a Kevlar protection vest on his mid section. Not everyone is going to like my thoughts on this but its a slightly more realistic approach in my opinion.

Yes, I love the big Bat symbol across his chest too. :P
