" crap i wish i had kept my scanner. i already have one finished. nice choice. "You can't use one that you have already done earlier on, I believe the rules stated. So couldn't use it anyways.
" @CATMANEXE said:I think he might have meant he 'already' finished his submission. Like it went quicker than he thought." crap i wish i had kept my scanner. i already have one finished. nice choice. Wish I could loan you mine catmanexe, haven't used it since I upgraded to Win7 and stupid USB drivers flaked out.
hot red demon chick with wings, one couldn't ask for better creative ingredients to work with.
I really liked this challenge, although not being familiar with the character, she's easy to get comfortable with, and after 8 hours of staring at a screen she gets easy on the eyes.
It's also nice to not have to worry so much about costume accuracy and just have some fun with visualizing.
Well done on the pick priest. Here's my interpretation:
" @tonis: Thats so awesome! How did you create that to look so realistic? "Thx guys, I modeled her and the wings first in 3D nude. Then I modeled out the jewelry, cloths, and 3 types of hair patterns to overlay. The fire I did a front, middle, and back layer for depth of field in photoshop with the help of a plugin from alien skin and some hard/soft light layering to give it a glossy reflective kind of look.
" @Om1kron: Whoa. That angle and position of Purgatori's body are beautifully done. Its almost familiar, like someone swimming but she's actually flying. Plenty of action, incredible. "yea the action and pose are very powerful visually, and who doesn't love seeing an Ogre get split like that. Great job Om1kron.
I'm not overly happy about my technique on this one. I resorted to the Greg Land techniques of using a model photo reference for tracing...
edit: Ok, so I've been convinced that this is okay to submit to the showcase...
I can tell you that regardless, your execution and final post is very well done. I do not see any difference using a model than if someone manipulated a 3d model to use and then embellish, if that is allowed then yours should be too. I really like your entry and hope you enter it.

If your trace is anything like my 3d models you still need to do a buttload of work on it and that's what is worth showing off. If you started with lines and produced that, you should be happy with the results, it's a good effort that is only going to get better with each challenge.
" @Michael the Fly: Great pose, too bad you didn't have a scanner, Good linework! "Thank you, I guess is so much one can do with a cell phone.
" @Michael the Fly:Thanks it looks much better now.:P
It is called art "work" : )
Here's a slightly cleaned up version of what you could do with your cell. Use it if you want as your entry. Good luck!
"
Ok I just realized it's October 8 and art is due. When the deadline ends today, I am not sure. Planned to go to bed early but got carried away with my entry. It's almost done...
Due to the fact I keep missing my deadlines for ongoing contests in the recent past and have several unfinished pieces of late, I hope I can have this extended for a few more hours. May not need them..... Thanks in advance!!!
