Artist Show-Off Showdown # 20: POISON IVY

So, this one is a little Poison Ivy costume update.

Thanks to Knotty 's contribution for a suggestion of a theme/topic.

Just draw a new costume for her or re-imagine her altogether but keep some of her visual cues so the reader can still recognize her.

Not an entry, its been a while since we did a Poison Ivy contest, at least that I am aware off. I think this was my entry some years ago. Its fun looking back. Cant wait for the new entries to roll in.

Well your confusion confuses me.

Take the character Poison Ivy and draw her in a re-imagined new outfit/costume and thats pretty much it if its something that interests you that would be great.

Have some recognizable details so people can see that its her. Like the leaves, green in her costume, red hair...

Not sure what you meant as the B tech swamp thing. This was Knotty's idea and I went with it since it swings back to what the old contests used to be.

Whoever wins this one gets to choose the next theme as you know so maybe there will be something different in the works by that winner.

It is funny that we have this Poison Ivy make-over in 2011 and now...a decade later... you revived this idea!!! How cool is that!! (Also reminds us how seasoned we are LOL)

Very true we have been around for a while. I cant take credit, it was Knotty's idea. He probably didnt realize its been done already but its always fun to revisit some of these past themes.

Looking forward to yours and possibly egods if he decides to join in. He usually does when its a wickedly good female character. Not a Btech at all in many others views hehe :p

Not my official entry but WAS my entry 10 years ago of Poison Ivy as rendered as a female "swamp thing" like creature.

Here you go... I hope you enjoy this one. I love the loner PI, that had nothing to do with being a sidekick or lover or whatever of Harley Quinn. Poison Ivy is a powerful, independent, single minded, loony and sexy villain... no one's sidekick!

I'm bowing out of this one--like Rams said, it's suddenly gotten gotten very busy for some of us (with me, it's teaching and tutoring my college students this week). I do have some sketches drawn/lined up, and they might even be good for an upcoming challenge, depending on what is chosen.

An' I haven't forgotten about drawing your sketch, either, yolo...

Again, very imaginative work! I'm lovin' all the entries!!

Alrighty then, I tried coming up with something but ended up putting more time into my project when time was available on my end.

Maybe the next one will be a bigger success with entries, was hoping egod knotty and dragonspine would jump in but they mentioned that they too had other commitments.

Glad to see these great pieces thanks to Yolo, Blackdog2009 and Daughter number 3 came through like champs. Will be rolling out the voting thread later on tonight hopefully. Cheers everyone!
