So... I haven't been on in awhile and I tried to log in the other day. Guess because someone had the same username as me on Gamespot and I hadn't been around in a bit I had to change my username. Sucks. Anyway, I have a new name now. If you guys could change my name on the list that'd be swell and I'll love you guys forever... unless you can convince them to give me my original name back (not that I didn't try that myself). Haha... nerd problems...

Dang, sad to see you guys retire the Amalgam and Public Domain contests. I get that participation was low, but <sigh> I enjoyed looking at them. :)

@cbishop: You may still see the occasional retired contest pop up in the Artist Show-Off one, it's a general contest so it can be anything.

@taylordad: The list at the top of the this thread shows a list of top 10 overall and each category shows all time winners and current title holders, as we do keep a list of winners to update as needed here.

For artists that that had competed, this is the closest that we have to a list.

Thats why it was created, I think its a pretty good one since it compiled many years of competing.

Sadly I dont know if theres enough artists to resurrect 1 or 2 of the contests. I mean people still stop by to look but there may be some new artists that would want to try their hand at it.

A lot of the old timers that where pretty young are either gone now or a bit older but there may be a new batch of younger artists that may want to take over. This was a great place to get practice going and improve your skills with a challenge.

I certainly improved from where I started on here as DavidR so I really would encourage anyone that enjoys drawing comic characters to join in! :)

Since we're starting out all new, I'll retire this Winner Thread and if things pick up with the new contest, we'll start a whole new Winner Thread for 2019 and beyond!

Hey there man I would hold off if you can. Its kinda nice for new artists to the forum to see what its been like on here. My main concern is that it is still too early to gauge what this new refresh contest will do. All the entrants as of this day are the same artists that were active years ago. The 2 to 3 that said they would join may still but havent yet. The turn out was decent but not overwhelming to say we will continue to have enough participants moving forward. Im guessing everyone that was on here years ago may have busier lives and turnout will be thin as a monthly contest. I hope not, but having the classic results for new forum viewers may help in case this does not take off just yet.

@ramsillustrations: This thread will still stay pinned. I'm not moving it. With a new contest, it's easier to create a new list, something new artists can see their names on.
