So here's my entry, getting the ball rolling.
The Greatest American Hero (aka Ralph Hinkley)
I loved this character, and as a kid I anticipated each episode when it came out (I watched it actually when it was in reruns mode, the series had long been over) . It ran in the early 80's.
the gist: granted a suit by and alien race that gave him flight, super strength, invisibility, invulnerability, Ralph fought crime. He was given a manual but lost it, effectively making him a bumbling Superman who could not really get the handle of flying among the other superpowers.
Different penciled version than from what I inked over. Wanted to try out a different digital pen to see what results I got, hope you like.
Kerry Gammill's and JM DeMatteis Frogman
Obviously the first one is Kerry's but thought that other version who im not sure who the artist is was quirky and a nice nod to Kerry's. I think it was in Marvels 2 in 1 series were he may have shown up.
I will try and get the inks, maybe colors on that and thanks, glad you liked my version.
Yeah his Superman run was pretty good.
@blackdog2009: Thanks! Your GAH rendering inspired me. (Very nice work.) In fact, I was almost tempted to draw the Mary Stuart Masterson version from the Greatest American Heroine spin-off. It's a shame the show never went beyond the pilot stage.
Ok, here's my final submission -- Foxfire, albeit with a few changes. I think anyone who read the old Gruenwald Squadron Supreme limited series will recognize her easily enough.
Here's my submission, I read Dwayne McDuffie's Deathlok and I really liked Michael Collins. I think he's pretty underrated.
I love the MLJ characters. My favorite iteration was Impact comics The Fly. It reminded me of a young Spiderman comic.
