Amalgam Contest #79

Alright @plut0n won the last round but has been awol for some time. For the 79th Amalgam Contest, yesterday would have been Jack Kirby's 96th birthday. Merge any two Kirby creations (list can be found here). Any individual character he created, any member of the FF, the original X-Men, Inhumans, New Gods, Challengers of the Unknown, Eternals, Silver Surfer, Thor, whichever characters appear on that list are up for grabs.

Cruising the forum for inspiration and hit on an idea I liked. Quick and dirty sketch, but I like how it turned out (a quick color job helped sell the amalgamation, imo). Personally, I've never been a huge fan of the Inhumans or the New Gods, but they would have meshed well.* Never posted anything in ComicVine's artist forum before, so if I did this wrong, sorry. Thanks for the inspiration.

*Scratch that, apparently they WERE merged in the official Amalgam comics, or at least the Forever People and the Inhumans were. Should have done my research first. Well, seeing as Karnak was folded into this abomination and, as far as I can tell, my favorite New God character doesn't seem to have been Amalgam'd at all, I like mine better. :)

Also, you said you never posted art here before? This is such a good start , hope to see more from you ^_^

So far, mine is looking pretty fantastic, though I think I have about four more hours or so before I'm done. That's not bad really... thought it was originally going to take forever. I'll post mine by Tuesday for all you people. (heehee)

Alright so I had a half-hour or so idle time this morning where I could give this a shot. WARNING: I am in no way, shape, or form an artist nor am I claiming to be one...I just like to doodle. So please keep that in mind. Also, there was sooo many characers to choose from I really had a hard time narrowing it down, I ended up going for comedy though. Hope you enjoy.

This is not my final entry but before I combine the 5 individual pieces I have, I wanted to post them as they are now. It will be done by the due date, but this where I'm presently at.

Invisible Dreamer = Invisible Girl / Beautiful Dreamer

Mr. Fantastic / Mark Moonrider = Reed Moonrider

Human Torch / Vykin the Black = Vykin the Torch

Also working on a Doom/Darkseid piece to go with these when it all gets mashed together.
