I would like to see everyone's combination of Marvel's Phoenix (this can be any version you like best: Jean Grey, Dark Phoenix, Rachel Summers, etc.) and DC's Raven.
Deadline will be Saturday June 17, 2011 at 8AM CST. Have fun!

I didn't wanna say it but yea, just when you thought you kicked the habit they drag ya back in :D
Raven is an interesting twist though, I'm curious as hell how your gonna inject that aspect.
Thanks Decept_O and tonis...
its been awhile and i am happy to see you guys here. can't wait your work here as well.
@tonis: Dang. Loving this one quite a bit. The colors are outstanding and I like the fire wings under her arms. Looking good! @KEROGA: You did a good job of showing a combo of Phoenix's and Raven's costumes. Perhaps a little fire or other magic effect or even color could also help but you're on the right track.
@tonis: love the colours, as well as the wings which are under her arms and the golden effect of the gloves, boots and belt!
@payno:
Im speechless. That is fantastic. I love the phoenix logo clips that hold the cape and hood onto the main part of the costume and how her face is shrouded in darkness apart from the eyes. And the cloak/wing combi is superbly done!
@KEROGA: first thing I thought was just like M.S. Feather, this is a chick with some serious attitude and it fits very well with these two mixed. Great job expressing it so well :)

thanks, I debated on using real gold shaders versus leathery ones for a while actually. When I decided to do what I did with the fire the 'shimmery' gold just blended in so much better.

@tonis: Awesome! Some of the design choices make me think of Final Fantasy, especially the wings. ^^
now that makes me smile, I consider FF visually revolutionary in the 3d art world and it's a look I'd love to get better at :)
@Decept-O: thanks buddy, as I mentioned to you earlier, the first thing I thought when I went to pose her was of your smoke pixie and how you did her :)
WOW!
One of these days, you'll have to show me how you do your stuff. I'm so bad with computers though, it's probably waaaaaaaaay outside of the realm of my design work.

thanks Roxy, and I don't think there's anything outside the realms of your creativity and what you can do :)
I didn't even have the patience to figure out how to get the hamsters to clap. ;-)@Roxanne Starr said:
