If Forge was properly written he would of already been on Ironman's level and beyond.
Forge
Character » Forge appears in 2155 issues.
Forge is a Cheyenne with natural mystical abilities and the mutant power to innately comprehend technology and build anything he can think of. He's a former love of Storm.
Forge should dethrone Ironman
Yeah what the hell happened to forge? He was such a prominent character back in the 90s but now hes just barely there. Can anyone give a clear cut reason why Forge is a mutant and Stark isn't?
The sper cool writers of right now have neglected him but it is only a matter of time before blossoms under some mega scribes pencil. I hope.
Forge was in Messiah Complex Chapter 3. Is this thread about Forge replacing Ironman as King Douche? Anyway, I think Forge gets written out because he's not that popular or a character. Writers don't want to spend much of their time writing about a character who is hard at work in the basement all day.
AS for why Forge is a mutant and Stark human, well Forge has the X-gene, where Stark does not. Stark is also more of a business man, he is a genius and can create a lot of crap, but not anywhere near Forge's level.
Different areas of expertise. Beast is primarily biological sciences (genetics, biochemistry, etc) while Forge is mostly mechanical.
Forge's power to create technology is instinctual, not intellectual, meaning he doesn't entirely understand how he does what he does. As someone over at scans-daily put it, tell him to figure out how to power the blackbird on pop-tarts and he will, he just can't tell you exactly how he came up with it.
In a way, he has taken over Tony's role with the Gov't as their official inventor (or he had for a while). Given the things he has invented, I'd say as far as creating technology he is definitely at Stark's level, approaching Reed Richards (I mean, a machine that can track mutants in the infinite number of timelines? Holy sugar-cubes). He just isn't in the spotlight the way Tony was.

Buckshot says:
"He sent some clones of Madrox to other timelines and Layla tagged along with one."
Yeah, and I read that she's gone forever. One of the creators said thats the end of her.
I don't like that. She's one of the main reasons I like X-Factor. I really hope she's not gone for good.

i do what does she really do other than b#%ch about everything. oh great having someone who will warn u of trouble a fraction of a second before it happens.

What are you talking about? When does she complain? She does more than warn them of danger, she orchestrates a ton of what goes on with X-Factor.
Gambler says:

I looked at it and that's more like what I thought. "This may be the last time anyone in this reality sees Layla." The character won't be gone. I'd like to keep her on the team, but I'm ok if she stays alive.

from what i read between CW and some issues of now of Xfactor shes just an add on to me. nothing really important in my mind but heh its just me then
Gambler says:
"Maybe the Exiles will run across her at some point."
I hope not. I don't think I'm going to like the New Exiles.
LMMFAO...............I cant breath............sonnova.........hahahaha. Buck that avatar is to funny.

It is intellectual. He use intutitive thinking. Intutition is another aspect of intelligence. That what most inventors do then they come up with a logical structure of how to design it.
