This shocking issue of Forever Evil #6 keeps you on the edge of your seat

Many people (including myself) felt that the Forever Evil event had been moving a bit too slowly and things were dragging just a bit, well boy does that all change with this issue. This action pack issue kept me on the edge of my seat and I found myself eagerly speeding through the pages just to get to the ending-which I wasn't disappointed by. The artwork by David Finch is probably the best it's been in Forever Evil and the last page got me really pumped up for the finale next month.
    *Spoilers Below*

Well it seems as though Nightwing finally met his fate, although there is still the possibility that he is still alive or could be revived, hey the cover says his "FINAL" fate right? So I'm not sure about that one. If he is truly dead then I'm sad to see him go and I wonder how Batman is going to react, especially to Luthor since he's the one who did him in.

Now moving on to the hooded prisoner, I (and alot people) guessed and guessed correctly that it was probably Alexander Luthor, but I can see now why the crime syndicate was so afraid of him as he isn't just a normal human being, he's Earth-3's version of Shazam (Mazahs) and that was a twist I definitely didn't see coming even though that was always possibility, from the looks of it, he's freaking powerful as the Syndicate seem terrified of him. This was freaking awesome and I can't wait to see him wreak havoc on the Crime Syndicate (and most likely finish off.)

Captain Cold and Black Manta also solidified themselves as some of my favorite villains, the way Manta takes out the Outsider in such a cold, quick demeanor and Cold taking out Johnny Quick like a boss was off the charts on the badass scale.

The "thing" that destroyed the Earth-3 world and the Crime Syndicate speaks of wasn't shown in this issue but they definitely are weary of it. I still hold my beliefs that it isn't just Darkseid like some people guessed and it's possibly someone bigger as the Syndicate states that it threatens to destroy the multiverse. My guess is the Anti-Monitor because who else has the power to do something like that? (Although your guess is as good as mine I suppose). I don't know if they're going to show it breaking into the world next issue, maybe they won't even show it all and leave it a mystery.

In conclusion, this for me was a great issue and the best one of the event so far. If you've been reading Forever Evil so far, this is probably the type of issue you've been waiting for.

This review was originally posted on my blog here.I have put up with DC’s Forever Evil event for going on six months now, since last September. It started off fairly well I think, all things considering, but has kind of been wallowing along for a while now. With the penultimate issue in stores this week, I believe things are finally looking up, even though the new issue is still plagued by many missteps, and the story really is all over the place sadly. But I must admit that I get a weird ...

The GoodWith the Justice League “dead”, it’s up to Batman, Lex Luthor and their motley crew to deal with the Crime Syndicate in the only way they can, by taking the fight to the Syndicates door. Something that this issue does well is show the way that these particular “crime fighters” do things differently to the Justice League. Of particular note was how Captain Cold deals with Johnny Quick. It’s brutal and ironic, a real satisfying moment if you’ve be...
