Wolverine attempts a last ditch effort to defeat the evil Mandate aliens in this conclusion to the hit mini-series. But if he does escape with his life, will he be able to find his way back to his own era?

As Wolverine makes his way to the head and orb-core of the Primogenitor, the Colonel reappears. It turns out that he wasn't killed in the last issue. He flies to the orb-core and it blows off his head, but he before he falls back to the ground he uses the rest of his ammo on it, breaking the outer layers of the orb-core. When he crashes he is attacked by Mandate so he sets off his self-destruct to take them out. With the opening created by the Colonel, Wolverine jumps into the broken orb-core to stab its heart. The center of the orb-core blasts the flesh off of Wolverine's bones but he manages to land on it and stab it, setting off an explosion that destroys everything nearby. The next morning, Fusa and some friends find Logan wandering around and she sends him back to his time.
