    ¹Reiko and Keiichi appear on the magazine cover only.

    ²A one-page notice depicted Kinnikuman and Meat taking away Shimada (the writer-half of the Yudetamago duo) on a stretcher as he had been hospitalized. Although unexpected creator absences and health problems are an unavoidable part of publishing, the way this absence was handled is unique in all of Jump history with the following issues while Shimada was recovering featuring reprints of Kinnikuman chapters from the beginning of the then-ongoing arc. Kinnikuman would even go on to receive the magazine cover a couple months later while it was still only in reprints.
