    Between Treestump and One-Eye, there is a tinge of irishness. They are the core of the Wolfriders efltribe who exude a general contempt and mistrut towards humans. They howl like wolves and grew up in the forest. Immediately after #bearclaw was killed by the snake-bear Madcoil, Treestump tied the "Chief's Knot" into Cutter's hair. His strength was reckoned to be three times that of any Go-Backs. He has a paternal presence throughout all issues of elfQuest and becomes lifemated to Clearbrook when One Eye dies.

    His former name was Birdcall.
