    Short summary describing this volume.

No recent wiki edits to this page.

DC Thomson annuals featuring the working class Broon (Brown) family of Glebe Street, Aughentogle, created by Robert Duncan Low and Dudley Watkins for the Sunday Post newspaper's Fun Section in 1936. The first annual came out in 1939 (catalogued as 1940), and alternated with Low and Watkins' Oor Wullie thereafter, with Wullie annuals on even years and Broons on odd. The second Broons Annual came out in 1941, but wartime paper shortages forced DC Thomson to skip producing Broons Annuals in 1943 or 1945. The Annuals resumed in 1947, and have come out every two years since.
