When a former classmate of Peter Parker botches an ambitious scientific experiment, it's Peter Parker who just might pay the ultimate price, and learn a valuable lesson about great power and great responsibility… Sound familiar? Don’t bet on it!

Peter Parker spots his old friend Charlie Weinerman through his classroom window where he's teaching at Midtown High. When Peter speaks to him, it turns out that Charlie wanted to use Peter's friendship with Tony Stark (Iron Man) to gain funding for his scientific research to design a secondary skin for soldiers that would make them near invunerable. Peter eventually agrees after seeing that the research could really work. However, Charlie cuts a lot of corners and experiments on himself against Peter's warnings. The lab he's working in blows up, but Charlie survives due to the fact that the suit has permenantly applied itself to him.
