Origin
The taheen appear in the Dark Tower series of novels. While most consider themselves superior to humans, some have been known to indulge in human pursuits, and to even mate with humans - resulting in a hybrid race of deformed, rat-like creatures known as the Can-Toi.

The taheen were created by Stephen King.
Major Story Arcs
Sheemie's Tale
In the two part Marvel series Sheemie's Tale, the taheen are shown guarding Algul Siento, a prison of sorts which also appears in the final Dark Tower novel. Algul Siendo houses the Breakers, a group of telepaths utilised by the The Crimson King as part of his plan to destroy the Beams and topple the Dark Tower.
