    Superman goes to war!-Clark Kent/Supes, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen are transported in to a war zone, where Superman has to protect his friends, without revealing his secret identity!

    The Last Days of Ma and Pa Kent 0

    It's kind of hard to say The Last Days of Ma and Pa Kent is essential reading, even if you disregard retcons as much as I do. The story involves the Kents being transported to the past where they're infected with a rare tropical disease incurable by modern science. Superboy, powerless to save them must say goodbye. Trouble is - even before the retcons, we know in almost every original version of the Superman story, Pa Kent dies before Martha, and usually from some sort of heart attack. So what...
