sakura is a Japanese schoolgirl who has taken to Street Fighting. Inspired by a battle that she witnessed, she now strives to follow the example of a man whose name she does not know.
Her talent as a fighter has attracted the attention of Dan, a martial artist who despite his overinflated sense of his own prowess as a warrior, provides Sakura with fairly solid guidance.
Sakura's quest begins at home, as her success in street brawls draws the eye of her classmate Karin Kanzuki, the heir of a powerful conglomerate and a consummate martial artist herself. Following their bout, Karin hosts a fighting tournament in Sakura's hometown, drawing in martial artists from around the world, including one who could bring Sakura far closer to finding the warrior who inspired her.
