Teela Spuunvll hails from her native homeworld of Abaddonus. She has the ability to absorb energy and change it from one form into another, like from sound to light, or gamma rays to electricity.
Sizzle tried out for membership to the Legion of Super-Heroes, but did not make it onto active status with the team. Instead, Sizzle, along with Turtle and Night Girl were invited to become the charter members of the new auxiliary organization called the Legion Reserves.
After that, Sizzle went on an actual mission with Brainiac 5, Sun Boy and Colossal Boy to investigate and sabotage the Intruder Planet.
