Sirzechs Lucifer

History

Sirzechs was originally the Heir to the Gremory Clan but due to the conflict of the Satans faction wanting to continue a war against the Angels and Fallen Angels, Sirzechs alongside with Ajuka Beezlebub are among the people who were against it, called the Anti-Satan Faction. The result of this conflict was the fleeing of the Satan faction thus forming the creation of Devil Society. During the war it was also the time he met Grayfia and fell in love with her. They married after the conflict was resolved among Satan faction and the Anti-Satan faction. He is said to be over a hundred years old because one of his servant Souji, his only Knight, was reincarnated in the late 1800's.

Appearance

Crimson Satan

Sirzechs is a young attractive male having the appearance of a man early for his 20's-age. He has a shoulder length crimson red hair and blueish-green eyes. He was described by Issei as the male equivalent of Rias. He usually wears casual corporate attire when emerging from the Underworld.

True Form

Sirzechs Lucifer's appearance is not yet the final form he has. In his true form, Sirzechs takes the form of Power of Destruction. He appears to look like the red power ranger but the differences are the design and the crimson aura is gives him.

Sirzechs Lucifer's Peerage

His peerage consists of 1 King, 1 Queen, 1 Knight, 1 Bishop, 2 Rooks and 2 Pawns. Sirzechs peerage is known to be the strongest one in the Underworld. His peerage has no Sacred Gear users in order to battle the original descendant of Lucifer, Rizevim Rivan Lucifer who has the ability of cancelling or negating all the Sacred Gears. Sirzechs Peerage made their first appearance in Volume 12 and had been formally introduced in Volume 13. Rias stated that his brother's peerage rarely meet and she has only seen 3 of Sirzechs servants. Meanwhile, Akeno, Rias' Queen, knows all the servants. He is the only one who was able to make the sacred creatures into his servants belonging to his peerage.

Note: His pawns are undefined number of pieces used since he only has 2.

King

• Sirzechs Lucifer, the Devil King, the strongest and one of the most powerful piece in his Peerage.

Queen

• Grayfia Lucifuge, known as the Strongest Queen in the Underworld and the Queen of Annihilation and the other one of the most powerful piece in Sirzechs' Peerage.

• Souji Okita, only Knight of Sirzechs since he used his 2 Knight Pieces into only 1 person.

Bishop (x2)

• MacGregor Mathers, a master magician who can use all kinds of magic. (Omni-Magic)

Rooks

• Surtr Second, known as the ultimate rook and the clone of Sutr in Norse Mythology.
• Bahamut, a sacred beast mainly used for transportation, enemy searching and annihilation of grunts.

Pawns

• Enku, a chinese Qilin.
• Beowulf, known as one of the top 5 Pawns of the Underworld, he is the descendant of the original Beowulf.

Personality

With the name being a Satan, he is not generally evil and cruel. He is shown to be a kind, caring and laid-back person that resolves any conflicts through talking instead of fighting that could lead to a war. In times, Sirzechs does things in his way that makes his wife, Grayfia punish him for it, other than that he had shown seriousness too. He has a deep love for his sister Rias and considered to be an overprotective father.

Major Story Arcs

The Red Dragon Emperor's Awakening

He made his first appearance in Volume 2, where Riser Phenex and Rias' engagement was being celebrated but his arrival with his wife Grayfia didn't cause an honor rather he indirectly or purposely helped Issei to break off his sister's engagement. He was shown wearing his royal attire and Grayfia her usual maid's clothing.

Birth of the Breast Dragon Emperor

He returned in Volume 4, where he went to Kuoh Academy along with his father Lord Gremory, for Rias' class observation. Later in that Volume, He and Serafall Leviathan were sent as representatives of the Devil society to have the peace talk between the 3 factions: Michael being the representative for the Angels, Sirzechs and Serafall for the Devils, and Azazel for the Fallen Angels. During their peace treaty they were invaded by the Khaos Brigade but later on the three factions have signed the peace treaty.

In Volume 5, the other Satans, Serafall, Beelzebub, Asmodeus and him attended the opening ceremony of the Young Devils Gathering, this gathering asks the Young Devils about their dreams in the coming future and thus Sirzechs starts a Rating Game between his sister, Rias and Serafall's sister, Sona Sitri.

In Volume 6, Rias and Diodora Astaroth are having a Rating Game but the Khaos Brigade interfered and the leader, Creuserey Asmodeus challenged Azazel to fight because he wants to avenge Katarea Leviathan. The fight did not happen due to Sirzechs appearance. He sought to solve the hatred by talking to Creuserey but failed resulting to fighting him. Creuserey lost when Sirzechs blasted his destruction orbs into his stomach to destroy the source of his power the Ophis Snake. After that, Sirzechs killed Creuserey by using his Power of Destruction.

The Heroic Oppai Dragon

In Volume 8, Sirzechs went to Issei Hyoudou's residence informing Rias that she'll be undergoing a ceremony. Later on, He, Grayfia and the other Satans acted as the Satan Rangers at Rias and Issei's engagement ceremony and fought against Issei as the final trial and easily overwhelmed him even after Issei used the power up of Rias' breasts.

In Volume 9, He had a conversation with Azazel about how they are going to gather Longinus and the Balance Breaker users into their organization.

In Volume 10, After the fight between Issei and Sairaorg, Sirzechs appeared and informed Issei about his promotion test to middle class devil.

In Volume11, He then visited the Hyoudou residence to have the confirmation of Issei, Akeno and Yuuto for their promotion to middle-class devils. He then tells Issei that he can call Rias by her name even in front of his royalty and hits on saying that he can call him brother in which Grayfia hit him with her Harisen/fan telling that he's going overboard. He then assigned Ravel Phenex to be Issei's manager.

In Volume 12, Sirzechs and Azazel confronted Hades to prevent him making any attempts to the Underworld. Sirzechs revealed his True Form and warns Hades that he's not happy about what he did to his sister and Issei. They had a fight and Sirzechs determination led to making him eliminate Hades without any hesitation.

The Legend of Oppai Dragon and His Lively Companions

In Volume 17, He was seen asking Euclid Lucifuge, his brother-in-law, why he is doing such actions and tells him that Issei is a brother who he should've been proud of. Euclid apologizes sarcastically telling Sirzechs that he can't do the same and he calls Sirzechs as naive.

Powers and Abilities

Since he got the title "Lucifer" being the King of the Underworld, Sirzechs has shown extreme powers of Demonic Magic. Aside from that, his family has been famous for their Power of Destruction.

Power of Destruction

He inherited this power from his mother. Sirzechs has the ultimate mastery over this power and could eliminate anything this power touches. It was stated by Azazel that the main reason he was chosen to be a Satan and the leader of them all is because of his mastery of Power of Destruction.

• Ruin the Extinct, Sirzechs can shape his Power of Destruction into spheres called Destruction Orbs, resulting to eliminate things without any left trace and could also act as a highly defense from magic.
• Human-Shaped Aura, This is Sirzechs True Form. He has the ability to convert himself as the embodiment of Power of Destruction that destroys everything despite his will of controlling it. It was stated by Azazel that this Power of Destruction that Sirzechs has is ten times more powerful than the original Lucifer. The only downfall to this power is that Sirzechs is still on the verge on controlling the power because it does not follow its users will or commands.

Immense Demonic Power

Being the King of the Underworld he has, overall, the strongest devil with unlimited Demonic Powers. Alongside Beelzebub and the original descendant of Lucifer, Rizevim Rivan Lucifer, he is one of the devils to be considered as Super Devils that heir power has so far exceeding those of the Four Original Satans. Lord Gremory stated that their powers made it clear that there are no other positions worthy for them but being the Satans.

Magic

His Father, Lord Gremory is a strong user of Magic in the Gremory Clan thus Sirzechs inheriting it.

Master Combatant

He is shown in the Manga series that he is a master combatant easily overwhelming his opponents.

Sirzechs Lucifer is one of the notorious main character in the manga and anime series High School DxD.

Anime

Sirzechs Lucifer was voiced by Junichi Suwabe in the Japanese dubbed anime while Alex Organ voiced him in English. He made his first appearance following the "The Red Dragon Emperor's Awakening" story arc.
