When a young human girl who was apparently raised on a jungle-planet by a lion-like creature is discovered by a big convoy of aliens named Sillage, she is - after some initial resistance - assimilated into the convoy. Because she happens to be psi-resistant for unknown reasons, she is employed as a special agent by Sillage's leaders and finds herself in a lot of political intrigues. Also, her being the only human that is known to Sillage makes her the odd one out, so she starts looking for her roots.
