Origin

Living poor, Rajan Shah chased a paper bill. Not looking where he was going, he ran into the street. His parents chased after him and saved him from a car. But both were hit and died on the streets. Realizing he had lost his parents because he blindly followed money, he let the bill go.

Rajan went to live with his uncle Satish, who raised him, until Rajan surprisingly won a scholarship to St. Martins. He excelled in his studies. He took up martial arts and, over time, surpassed his instructor. He graduated with honors from law school, the youngest graduate at the university. He started working as a law clerk at an old firm in New Delhi. Two years later he was an advocate arguing for the state in criminal cases.

When Rajan lost a murder case, he lost his cool and tried to attack the suspect. He was charged with contempt of court and disbarred. Lost, he was attacked on the streets by men hired by the man he tried to attack in court. After the attack, his phone rang, asking him to visit Mukesh Desai. Desai was one of the richest men in the world, and also he was dying. On his deathbed, he confessed that he was the driver that killed Rajan's parents. But he also used his wealth to secretly aid Rajan, making sure he got an education. Desai wanted to give Rajan a crystal, which supposedly gives the wearer superhuman powers. Shocked by the story, Rajan rejects the gift and angrily walks away. He then discovers he has been evicted from his home. Now homeless and desperate, he goes back to Desai. Desai shows Rajan the crystal and the protective suit he had made. Reluctantly, Rajan accepts the offer and becomes the Black Tiger.
