A secret headquarters serves as a home away from home for a superhero and a supervillain as well as for teams of heroes and villains. Sometimes a secret headquarters can be cleverly well hidden or disguised. While superheroes refer their base of operations a secret headquarters or a command center, supervillains often refer their base of operations an evil lair or a hideout. Heroes and villains go to extreme lengths to keep their secret headquarters a secret. Sometimes a secret headquarters can be exposed by heroes going who want to go public or infiltration by a villain or one of their spies. When exposure happens, a secret headquarters is often targeted and destroyed until a new secret quarters is established.
