    Origin

    The Rio Kid is a western hero.

    Creation

    The Rio Kid was originally a Nedor Comics character.  Like most Nedar characters he is now in the Public Domain.  The Rio Kid started, like so many of Nedor characters did, as a text Pulp Magazine character with his own title that ran from 1935 to 1955, the longest run for a single character Pulp.  He didn't last as long in the comics.
